Niantic has confirmed that the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia will be coming toPokemon GOas part of the mobile title’s upcoming Sinnoh event. Dialga and Palkia have been a mainstay in the Pokemon franchise sinceDiamond and Pearl, with theOrigin Formes of Dialga and Palkia first appearing inPokemon Legends Arceuson the Nintendo Switch.
The two legendary dragon-types have been available in for a while, usually appearing inPokemon GO’schallenging 5-star raids. With aPokemon GOevent that focuses on the Sinnoh region ready to launch in February 2024, Niantic is taking the opportunity to further celebrate the dragons of Time and Space across its augmented reality game.

As announced on thePokemon GOblog, the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia will be made available through 5-star raids during thePokemon GOSinnoh Tour event. ThePokemon GOTour: Sinnoh event will start in Los Angeleson February 16 and 17 before a global event launches on February 24 and 25, 2024. Those players who purchase a ticket to either event have the opportunity for Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia to appear that know one of two new Charged Attacks. Players who chose the Diamond path will be able to catch Origin Forme Dialga who has the Charged Attack Roar of Time. Trainers who pick the Pearl path during the Sinnoh event can catch Origin Forme Palkia with the Charged Attack Spacial Rend.
Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia Availability
These charge attacks also introduce a new feature to the mobile game called Adventure Effect. By using Origin Forme Dialga’s Roar of Time on thePokemon GOmap, players can activate a 6-minute timer pause on Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces. Adventure Effect costs 5000 stardust and 5 Dialga Candy for every 6-minute interval and can be activated in 2-hour increments up to 24 hours. Using Adventure Effect with Origin Forme Palkia’s Spacial Rend unlocks an increased distance in which players can encounter wild Pokemon. The cost for a 10-minute effect costs 5000 stardust and 5 Palkia Candy and can be increased in 2-hour intervals up to 24 hours.
It is worth noting that the addition of the new 5-star raids of Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia are open to all trainers, and players have the chance to encounter shiny versions during the global event, regardless of whether a ticket is purchased or not. February is shaping up to be a stacked month forPokemon GOplayers. Along with the Sinnoh events, Niantic also confirmedFebruary’sPokemon GOCommunity Day. On February 4, gamers will have a boosted chance of catching a shiny version of the egg-Pokemon Chansey as they will be appearing more frequently in-game.
