According to the SuperGroupies site, the newPersona 5 Royalcollection consists of three main items: a coat, a backpack, and a necklace. All of these pieces are inspired by Joker, featuring elements of the character that fans can easily recognize. The coat is priced at $260 USD outside taxes, and is mainly inspired by the Phantom Thief’s black outerwear. There is also a woven tag inside the coat inspired by the group’s Calling Card. Costing $200 USD outside taxes, the Joker backpack has an all-black exterior with a deep red interior. It has small details like an Arsene woven tag inside and a Joker mask outside. Finally, the necklace costs $130 USD before taxes, and it is a gold-colored piece that has Joker’s dagger and mask as featured elements.
Even though the collection only has three items, they seem to be very well-thought-out. Fans can easily pick up the whole collection and make themselves look very similar to theleader of the Phantom Thieves, or they can choose one of the few pieces if they want to be more subtle in their fandom. No matter which product they buy, fans will have to wait until mid-March 2024 to get their items as that is when their delivery is scheduled.
Depending on how the items sell, this new collaboration could pave the way for more pieces dedicated to a specificmember of the Phantom Thieves. Hopefully Atlus answers the demand, and works together with SuperGroupies again to make more collections in the future.
