While fans are excited to seePersona 4 Goldenrevived on the PC, some are hoping to see the game on another console. With the game’s sequelsPersona 5andPersona 5 Royalon the PlayStation 4, players want Atlus to create a port of Golden that will allow all three games to be played on the same console.
With the new Steam edition ofPersona 4 Golden, new and old fans alike have been able to enjoy the game on the computer. The golden version ofPersona 4came out in October 2012, and since then, fans have seen the investigation team embark on other adventures in the forms ofPersona 4 Arena Ultimax,Persona Q, andPersona Q2. However, fans would like to play through their originalGoldengame in another format.

SincePersona 4 Goldencame out on PC, players have been hoping to see the game receive a port for the PS4 as well. Fans have taken to Twitter to discuss this. SincePersona 5andPersona 5 Royalhave been released on PS4, many people who have those games would like to have them all grouped together on the same console. ThePersona 5games also attracted new fans to thePersonaseries, so they may prefer to continue their journey into the games on a familiar console.
Persona 4 Goldenreleasing on PC also shows thatAtlusis willing to branch out the series to other platforms. Until this point, the main part of thePersonafranchise has been exclusive to PlayStation consoles, which is one of the reasons that fans have had a lot of difficulty advocating forPersona 5on the Nintendo Switch.
While some spin-off adventures like thePersona Qgames were released for other consoles like the Nintendo 3DS, the numbered games in the main series have all been released on PlayStation console. SincePersona 4 Goldenhas been ported to a non-PlayStation system, it makes sense that Atlas would be more likely to port the game to a newer PlayStation system. However, Atlus has not publicly commented on portingPersona 4 Goldento any other system.
Persona 4 Golden’srecent PC release is giving fans hope for a full-on revival of the game series. While it’s uncertain ifPersona 4 Goldenwill be ported again, this PC version shows that the main series may branch out fromSonysystems.
