Thetrailer forPersona 3 Reloadshows that this game is a ground-up remake of the 2006 original, with completely new character models, environments, and maps to explore. Some of the cutscenes in the game have also been redone, where instead of a completely 2D anime scene, models are used that resemble some ofPersona 5’s cutscenes. The remake will, however, feature newly animated 2D cutscenes as well. With this game being a complete remake, the recast likely occurred to match the higher standard Atlus is aiming for.
