Sony’sPlayStationplatform is home to some of the most coveted exclusive titles and franchises, and it looks like more of them are set to arrive on PC in the future. Most recently,The Last of Us Part 1launched on PCalbeit to a somewhat negative reception thanks to severe performance issues.
Spider-Man RemasteredandSpider-Man: Miles Moralesarrived on the PC platform in 2022 and are considered high-quality ports unlike the more recentThe Last of Us Part 1.Returnalalso arrived on PC earlier in 2023 to a positive reception roughly two years after it first launched as a PlayStation exclusive. Generally, the news ofPlayStationports coming to PC is an exciting prospect for those who primarily game on PC since Sony’s exclusives are considered to be of exceptionally high quality. A good example of this isGod of War Ragnarok, which has earned a raft of awards, and was also a strong contender for Game of the Year at the 2022 The Game Awards.

In its 2022 fiscal year financial results, Sony mentioned “rolling out catalog titles for PC” in the coming fiscal year. There was no mention of exactly which PlayStation exclusives the company plans to port to PC, but it is nevertheless exciting news for gamers who want to play some of Sony’s games without having to buy a PlayStation. It’s unlikely that newPlayStation exclusive gameswill be released simultaneously. Instead, players can likely expect ports of some older PlayStation exclusives, however, this is pure speculation and there is no information at this time indicating which titles Sony intends to port.
Some of the best PlayStation exclusivesPC gamers might be hoping for includeBloodborne, God of War Ragnarok,andHorizon Forbidden West.Hopefully Sony will reveal what its plans are in the near future, but for now one can only guess at what the company has planned. Some gamers have long lamented the fact that games likeBloodbornehave not been ported to PC yet, especially since the game initially released eight years ago. The news that Sony sees PC ports as a means of generating extra revenue is encouraging to say the least, and one can only hope that heavy-hitters like FromSoftware’sBloodbornemake the cut.
Perhaps one day Sony will consider making its library of classicPlayStationgames available to PC players as a subscription service, but again there is no way of knowing if this will ever happen. For now, gamers can at least look forward to somemore PlayStation exclusives on PC.
