Overwatch 2’s launch roster is composed of 35 Heroes, and many players will undoubtedly be interested in having access to all of them. While the process by which Heroes are earned is not particularly complex, it can be quite time-consuming, especially for players that are brand new to the franchise. To note, owners of the originalOverwatchwill have access to its 32 Heroes immediately upon starting their time withOverwatch 2. For those players that never ownedOverwatch, the first step toward unlocking its Heroes inOverwatch 2is tocomplete the tutorial. When that is done, fans will unlock the following 13 Heroes, which can then be taken into multiplayer matches:

With the first 13 Heroes unlocked, players can set their sights on the remaining 19. To earn these Heroes,Overwatchfansmust complete “challenges,” which are simply to participate in designated numbers of matches. Overwatch 2: How to Unlock Junker Queen and Sojourn

As previously noted,Junker Queenand Sojourn will be awarded to originalOverwatchplayers that log intoOverwatch 2before the end of Season 2. These two new Heroes will also be given to brand-new players simply for completing the game’s tutorial and some quickplay matches, though that will only be true until end of the first season on December 5. After these periods have lapsed, fans will be required to purchase Junker Queen and Sojourn through the in-game shop or unlock them by completing challenges that have yet to be detailed.

Overwatch 2: How to Unlock Kiriko

Kirikois the final Hero that is currently available inOverwatch 2, and she is unlocked through the Season 1 Battle Pass. More specifically, free-to-play players will receive Kiriko upon reaching tier 55, and fans that opt to pursue this path should focus their efforts on completing challenges. Alternatively, players can unlock Kiriko immediately by purchasing the Premium Battle Pass for 1,000OverwatchCoins.
