AnOverwatch 2match on the Nepal map was decided by the impeccably timed and perfectly executed ultimate ability of a heroic Junkrat player. Game-saving plays aren’t uncommon inOverwatch 2,but one of this magnitude is rare and is rightly being celebrated.

Overwatch 2released its season 2 content patch on June 09, 2025, introducing players to the newest tank hero, Ramattra, paired with an all-new map, Shambali, as well as a host of balance changes. Players are optimistic about the quick pace of fresh content, and Blizzard has capitalized on the momentum by announcing plans for theOverwatchWorld Cup in 2023. The game’s release in October 2022 was not without its issues, with players facing DDoS attacks and technical issues resulting in some heroes being disabled for play. But now,Overwatch 2seems to have found solid footing, retaining its ability for players to make big tide-turning plays without feeling imbalanced or unfair.

Reddit user ImpracticalTokers posted their recent clip of aphenomenal play inOverwatch 2. On the elevated capture point of Nepal, the enemy team had taken position to close out the game in overtime. ImpracticalTokers, playing as Junkrat, rushed back to the point from spawn. Utilizing an advanced triple concussion mine jump to bypass the traditional route to the point, they landed in an opportune spot. As the enemy team faced ahead, ImpracticalTokers activated his ultimate ability and the RIP-tire explosive did not have to travel far to wipe the entire team.

Overwatch 2has an overtime mechanicwhere if a point is in contention at the end of a match, the match continues until one team can control the point and hold the other team off of it for a small timer. In the clip posted to Reddit by ImpracticalTokers, the enemy team has all but guaranteed themselves victory, standing full-force on the point with no opposition and the overtime timer ticking down. At the absolute last possible moment, Junkrat’s ultimate, which is a manually controlled and activated bomb with lethal damage potential, detonated, killing the entire team, and enabling ImpracticalTokers to retake the point and end the match in victory.

Moments like ImpracticalTokers remind players whyOverwatchbecame such a massive gaming phenomenon back in 2016. Making unbelievably clutch plays when the match is down to the wire is a feeling like no other, and chasing that feeling will help keepOverwatch 2relevant for years to come.

Overwatch 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
