The Jiki Jiki no Mi’s awakening allowed Kid to magnetize other objects, including people. After using their newly awakened powers, Law and Kid were finally able to dealsome damage to Big Mom. The Yonko was not pleased with the development, so she used her Devil Fruit power to steal the lifespan of the soldiers. To make matters worse, she used up one year’s worth of her life. By doing so, she was able to increase her size and her power.
Bearing in mind that Big Mom is already leagues ahead of Kid and Law, this transformation spells trouble for the two Supernovas. They cannot keep using their Devil Fruit awakenings, as they still haven’t gotten the hang of them. Also, they have openly admitted that using the awakenings drains their stamina rapidly. So, they have to wrap up the fight as early as possible; otherwise, Big Mom will crush both of them effortlessly. The episode also gave screen time to Momonosuke, who has been desperately trying to create stable flame clouds.
