One Piece’sEgghead Island arc continueswith great intensity and with each passing chapter, fans find out more mysteries about the world that Oda has carefully crafted over the decades. Now that the series is finally in its final saga, every major revelation is slowly going to be made and answers to questions that were in the heads of the fans for years will now be revealed. The Egghead Island arc has certainly done great to that end and revealed some massive mysteries over the course of the last few chapters.

Previously, fans saw the secrets of Vegapunk’s brain get revealed and, at the same time, bits from the history of theOne Pieceworld concerning the iron giant presented to them. At the same time,the CP0 were seen arrivingon the island and from here onwards, the story is only going to get more interesting. Now, all eyes are onOne Piece 1068which will most likely be the beginning of the conflict in this arc, with more context provided on the situation of the Revolutionary Army.
One Piece 1068: The CP0 Make Their Move
Towards the end of the last chapter, the CP0 finally made their way to Egghead Island. As mentioned before, their mission isto eliminate Dr. Vegapunk, along with all his satellite bodies. At the same time, they plan on delivering the Seraphim of Bartholomew Kuma back to the Navy genius, likely before they attempt to murder him. Lucci also announced the plan to get rid of Jewelry Bonney, who has been slipping away from the grasp of the Celestial Dragons for all these years. However, he also curiously mentions that she has served her purpose already and they have no use for her anymore, meaning that getting rid of her here would be their best course of action.One Piece1068 will most likely focus on this and it is quite likely that CP0 will run into either Zoro and Brook, as they are guarding Egghead Island laboratory, or arrive in front of Luffy’s group. It is more likely for themto face off against Zoro’s groupand from there onwards, the conflict is likely to escalate even further. Since Zoro doesn’t have enough backup to deal with all the members of the CP0, along with a Seraphim, it is likely that he will get back up inOne Piece1068, most likely in the form of Sanji and possibly even Franky. That said, the next chapter of One Piece is certainly going to see some sort of combat ensue on the island.
One Piece 1068: Vegapunk And Luffy
Vegapunk and Luffy’s conversation appears to be the crux of this arc so far andOne Piece1068 will most likely be looking to continue that. In the previous chapter, Vegapunk explained to the fans how his mighty powerful brain works andhow his Devil Fruit aids his genius mind. Towards the end chapter, he makes a proposition to Luffy and asks for his help to get away from Egghead Island. Previously, Vegapunk was sure that he would die very soon. This was because he foresaw the Cipher Pol coming to eliminate him on account of the information that he holds about the Ancient Kingdom and the Void Century. With a twist of fate, Luffy happened to arrive on the island and now, a path for Vegapunk’s survival has opened up.

This conversation will most likely continue in One Piece 1068 and Luffy, being the man that he is, will most likely say yes to Vegapunk’s request. This also ties to the next destination of Dr. Vegapunk and the Straw Hat Pirates. Since the crew just arrived on Egghead Island, it is very unlikely for the log pose to have already recorded the magnetic field of the next island. As such, it is entirely possible that they will follow the course that Vegapunk sets for them. In doing so, the crew will most likely be heading towards a familiar person, Monkey D. Dragon. Fans know that Vegapunk and Dragon are familiar with each other and might even be working together somehow. As such, the best place for Vegapunk to be would be with the leader of the Revolutionary Army and that is possibly where the crew could be headed next.
One Piece 1068: Kuma’s Destination
The previous chapter ofOne Piecealso focused quite a bit on Bartholomew Kuma, who had recently arrived on Momoiro Island, thanks to the effort of the Revolutionary Army Commanders. In the previous chapter, he suddenly started to run and the Revolutionaries are likely going to follow him. While it is unknown where he is headed, fans can take a gander at what will be revealed inOne Piece1068. It must be noted that Kuma has been programmed by none other than Dr. Vegapunk and he has written codes into him that allow him to carry out certain commands. After the Paramount War, Kuma protected the Thousand Sunny on account of that.
Similarly, there may be a code written in Kuma that makes him defend his daughter, Jewelry Bonney. Somehow realizing that she is in danger, Kuma could very well be headed towards her. This once again solidifies the idea that Monkey D. Luffy and Dragon are going to meet. With Bonney, Vegapunk and Luffy headed towards Dragon, this reunion is now very close.One Piece1068 will most likely focus on Kuma quite a bit and give the fans an answer to where he is headed towards.
When Will One Piece 1068 Release?
One Pieceis on break this week and will not return in the next issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine. According to Mangaplus, the manga is set to return on June 12, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app.
