Summary

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas one contender for a DLC character that the game may not be able to ignore. While the game still has some time to wait before its release, that shouldn’t stop fans from speculating about it. IfSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguedoes get DLC, then new squadmates should be one of the first ideas in mind. While the four playable characters are all popular, a game about theSuicide Squadcould benefit from a wider roster. In particular, one character should be a priority when it comes to DLC offerings.

As the latest release inRocksteady’s continuingArkhamverseseries,Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguetakes a much different approach from previous games. For one, the spotlight is not on Batman, but rather the playable squad members: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. Batman does still make an appearance, but as a member of the brainwashed Justice League controlled by Brainiac. The gameplay also sees a change, switching from a free-roaming beat-‘em-up to a shooter. Of course, the Justice League playing the role of villains may be the game’s biggest shift. Among the Arkhamverse games,Suicide Squad: KTJLis breaking a lot of trends.

In the conversation ofplayable villains inSuicide Squad: KTJL, one character that should be a shoo-in is Peacemaker. Originally created by Charlton Comics in 1966, Peacemaker was a fairly obscure character before John Cena’s portrayal of him inThe Suicide Squad. A deadly mercenary and master marksman, he considers himself a hero seeking to keep the peace, but his questionable morals and willingness to use lethal force keep him from that designation. Ever since the film, Peacemaker has seen a major revival, even receiving his own HBO Max series. While not on the level of DC’s elite, Peacemaker is on the rise.

Suicide Squad: KTJLwouldn’t be Peacemaker’s first game, sinceMortal Kombat 1’s DLCwill feature him as a guest fighter. He would be an even better fit forKill the Justice League, though. Obviously, Peacemaker’s marksmanship skills would be extremely useful in a game where the goal is to shoot one’s way through hordes of enemies. The fact that he was a member of Task Force X in the recent movie only makes a better case for his inclusion. He’s one of the most popular characters associated with the team at the moment, so a Peacemaker DLC would be highly appropriate.

Peacemaker’s show itself is another major factor to take into account. WhileSuicide Squad: KTJLwas delayed until 2024, Peacemaker’s second season is believed to come sometime around 2025 or 2026, soKTJLwill have been out for at least a year by that point. It’s possible that by the time that trailers forPeacemakerseason 2 are starting to come out, the man himself could be added toSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueas a DLC character. It would be an excellent method off cross-promotion, and would benefit the game as well as hype the show’s next season.

Peacemaker may be the single best DLC character thatSuicide Squad: KTJLcould ask for. Since a DLC roadmap would helpSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s longevityin the first place, choosing the right DLC would only strengthen it further. Peacemaker’s quickly rising profile is already bringing him into at least one game, so it only makes sense for him to make an appearance for the team that sparked his recent rise to begin with. IfSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguecomes out with DLC squad members, Peacemaker should certainly be among the candidates.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewill be released on July 22, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
