Omega Strikersis an upcoming live-service, free-to-play brawler from the new development studio Odyssey Interactive. The game is a 3v3 title inspired by air hockey, in which players take control of variousOmega Strikerscharacters and use their special abilitiesto knock both the ball and their opponents around the map to earn points. Its official release date is set for July 16, 2025, and theOmega Strikersteam spoke recently to Game Rant about some of their plans for the game after release.
After several months of PC beta testing,Omega Strikersis set to officially launchwithin the next few days on Mobile devices, the Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. The full release is set to come with a plethora of new content and more in-depth gameplay, according to the developers. However, theOmega Strikersteam has also revealed its planned updates for the rest of 2023 and how it intends on encouraging players to stick around long after launch.

“I don’t think we’ve actually said this to anyone else, but we areplanning on having 26 strikersby the end of the year,” revealed Ryan Rigney, Marketing Director at Odyssey Interactive. “We have this schedule of a new striker every three months.” Beyond just new strikers, Rigney explained that the Odyssey team has the entirety of 2023 planned out.
Omega Strikersis set to have a new event each month, featuring various themes and new content for players to enjoy. “Something in-game, like a cool original mission system with a story-based click-through narrative experience mode – that’s a real one we’re planning.” The team also revealed some of the upcoming themes they have planned, including a Summer Splash event around June, as well as a “nightmarish theme” set for later in the year. The latter definitely sounds like agreat Halloween event in the game.
However, the team emphasized that its plans are also focused on improving the base mechanics of the game. As Rigney said, “the real core is the gameplay, so the strikers and balance patches are coming out on a weekly basis, not a monthly one.” The seasonal updates are set to come with bigger changes, including entirelynew game modes and ways to playOmega Strikers. “There are really gameplay warping and play-redefining things we want to add by the end of the year.”
“By launch, it should feel like a full game, and by the end of the year, it should feel like we’ve shipped an expansion pack or two.”
Omega Strikerswill be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, on April 27.
