A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming movieSailor Moon Cosmos, which will be the latest in theSailor Moonfranchise remake. The trailer reveals some new characters that will be in the movie for the first time, along with a first listen to their voices. Full of action-packed sequences and good performances, the trailer has already garnered a lot of positive attention online.
The newSailor Moon Cosmostrailer was released on the officialSailor MoonYouTube channel on January 31st, gaining almost 1000 comments and over 12,000 likes within the first 24 hours. And though the trailer is entirely in Japanese, the comments on the video are not. Fans are expressing their excitement for the upcoming films fromall over the worldin their native languages, showing how muchSailor Mooncan unite people.

The trailer gives us our first look at Sailor Moon’s final villain, Sailor Galaxia. It was only recently revealed that Galaxia would be voiced by Megumi Hayashibara, most famous for her role as Rei Ayanami inNeon Genesis Evangelion. The trailer also features the movie’s theme song, “Tsuki no Hana,” performed by Daoko.

It will be an adaptation of the final manga arc of thegenre-defining original anime, which first aired in the 1990s.Sailor Moonfans can rest assured that they will not drag out the story, either, as the trailer announced this as the “Final chapter ofSailor Moon” and “Sailor Moon’s final battle.”
