Good news forKingdom Heartsfans today. After much teasing, Square Enix has finally set the date forKingdom Hearts 3’s upcoming DLC,Re: Mind. Players have known it was coming for most of this year, but now it’s been confirmed that the add-on for one of2019’s top RPGswill arrive on July 02, 2025 for the PlayStation 4 and June 13, 2025 for the Xbox One. Alongside that announcement, Square Enix has released a new trailer for it.
Or, to be more precise, it will release a new trailer. It was on theKingdom HeartsYouTube page temporarily, earlier this afternoon, but as of this writing the video has been set to private, rendering it inaccessible to the public for the time being. Fans eager for new footage need not worry, though, as another YouTube channel, AvantViral, manage to reupload the trailer before Square Enix hid it away, and that version can be seen below.

It’s been known that the new content will expand on the game’s story, but the description that accompanied the original upload goes into more detail. According to it, theRe: MindDLC will tell “the other tale that unfolded” during the events ofKingdom Hearts 3’s finale. Basically, since the game originally kept the focus on series protagonist Sora during the climax,Re: Mindwill fill in the gaps and show what the rest of the good guys were up to off-screen.
And if the trailer is any indication, there’ll be a lot for players to see from theotherKingdom Heartscharacters’ perspectives. The new footage packs a lot in just two minutes, featuring new cutscenes and gameplay footage showing offRe: Mind’s new playable characters. Included are characters we’ve known will be playable in the DLC, including Riku, Aqua, and Roxas, but the trailer also reveals that Kairi will be playable as well, marking the first time she’ll be playable in aKingdom Heartsgame.
While giving the rest of the cast more screentime, Sora will still have plenty to do in the DLC, as the trailer shows him confronting a few bosses and exploring more of the game’s final area, Scala ad Caelum. Furthermore, the trailer caps off with a quick glimpse at a scene with Sora and a mysterious figure that suggestsRe: Mindwill further explore what was hinted at inKingdom Hearts 3’s secret ending.
Kingdom Hearts 3is out now for PS4 and Xbox One. TheRe: MindDLC will launch on the PS4 on July 17, 2025, followed by an Xbox One release on June 19, 2025.
