A new mod forElden Ringallows players to ride flying broomsticks and use new spells to live theirHarry Potterfantasies in The Lands Between. Trying to recreate the same experience as that in the recently popularHogwarts Legacyis difficult with the baseElden Ringcontent, even though the magic in the game can be fun and even extremely powerful. One mod creator decided that that wasn’t enough, and took to forging a mod that gives players theHarry Potterexperience they’ve been looking for inElden Ring.
The ability to create differing builds inElden Ringis enormous, with many finding new builds by the day to crush the many bosses that the game has to throw at them, likeutilizing faith magic to take down Malenia. Magic builds by themselves are quite popular, and it can be easy to make a build to one’s own taste due to the fact that there are 70 spells inElden Ring. While this covers a wide variety of builds one can make, the ability to create a wizard that flies on brooms and shoots spells from up high isn’t possible, as the only transportation available is Torrent, a spirit steed mostly stuck to the ground.

The mod creator Garden of Eyes decided that that should change. Garden of Eyes is known for making overhaul mods for FromSoftware games where they add new weapons to the game, like theBlades of Chaos fromGod of War.With their latest overhaul mod forElden Ring, they have added several new spells, a wand, aHarry Potterskin, as well as the ability to fly across The Lands Between on flying broomsticks. With the mod’s release, they posted a video going over its highlights.
Most of the video shows off the player’s ability now to fly on broomsticks, with shots of them flying across many ofElden Ring’s more well-known areas. The footage also includes the player fighting other players on broomsticks via PvP and even taking on thepost-game boss Dragonlord Placidusaxwith ease from the safety of the sky. The video then goes on to show several of the iconic spells fromHarry Potterand their effects, including the Killing Curse, before remarking that the mod can be downloaded and played right now through the Garden of Eyes custom mod launcher.
Elden Ring’s modding community is a passionate and talented group of people who seek different ways to make the game as fun, or as difficult, as possible. From the expected mods that replace enemies with Thomas fromThomas the Tank Engineto those thatmake the gameplay more likeSekiro: Shadows Die Twice, there are myriad ways to change up theElden Ringexperience so that each playthrough is different. The more the game continues to be loved by fans, the more mods are sure to come out that can entirely change how it plays.
