A new scan forDragon Ball Z: Kakarotappeared online, and it shows offDragon Ball Z’s most chaotic villains in all of their pink (and grey) glory: the Majin Buus. The moniker “Majin Buu” belongs to one character with three different personalities (incarnations) and varying transformations, and this new scan displays all of them — at least all of the important ones.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotplans to outdo every other video game retelling of theDragon Ball Zsaga, so for it to have all of Majin Buu’s forms and transformations (including Evil Buu) is not in the least surprising. The scan also doesn’t show off many new screenshots aside from the one ofKid Buuand his favorite technique.

The first screenshot features Fat Buu and shows him off in the infamous stretching pose he preforms when first emerging from his imprisoning ball. The last three show off various Kid Buu moments that also act as references to the anime and manga. There’s the moment where he shots Goku in the face point-blank with a ki blast, another with him holding his signature Planet Buster technique overhead, and an in-game moment wherehe tries to shot down Goku with a volley of ki blasts.

The scan serves to excite fans over theBuus’ inclusion intoDragon Ball Z: Kakarotwhile detailing what exactly they are and how theirDBZstory arc plays out. The text printed on the scan roughly describes Kid Buu as the incarnation of chaos (which is accurate) and then precedes to tell viewers how the various Buus all relate to one another.

For those select few who don’t know the story, Fat Buu is the result of Kid Buu having absorbed a benevolent and corpulent Supreme Kai. The image of the grey and gangly Buu below him, Evil Buu, occurs when Fat Buu expels Kid Buu’s essence to keep from going on a murderous rampage. The following Buu, Super Buu, happens when Evil Buu devours and absorbs Fat Buu.

The next two after him (Buu-tenks and Buu-han) are Super Buu transformations that occur when Buu absorbs the characters Gotenks andUltimate Gohan, respectively. Finally, the last Buu, Kid Buu, is Majin Buu’s original form and personality reclaimed when stripped of everything he’s absorbed. He’s Majin Buu’s most chaotic form, while Buu-han (Ultimate Buu) is the strongest. IfDragon Ball Z: Kakarotplays out the way the originalDragon Ball Zstory did, Kid Buu will be the game’s final boss.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotwill be out on July 11, 2025, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
