In a recent post on the EA website, there was confirmation that Irish will be part of the pre-order program. Players who pre-order the game will receive an exclusive Irish Battle Hardened legendary skin.Battlefield 4fans may be further enticed to pre-order the game before its October release with this free offer.

The legendary skin being offered for players that pre-orderBattlefield 2042is the same outfit that Irish wore in therecent Exodus video. Since the skin is being offered in celebration of the return of Irish, players who purchase the game after release will still be able to play as an alternate version of the character. EA has confirmed that Irish’s veteran trait spawns the soldier with extra body armor.

The legendary skin comes with everything fans of the Exodus video have seen, including the grey camo, fluorescent yellow gloves, and beige military pack covering his torso. There’s also a military green side pouch and kneepads as part of the skin. TheBattlefield 2042promotional materialfittingly shows him equipped with a shotgun. This pre-order bonus hasn’t been announced as exclusive to any special edition of the game, meaning players who pre-order any edition will receive the skin.

Michael K Williams is reprising his role as Irish inBattlefield 2042after a long hiatus sinceBattlefield 4. ManyBattlefieldfans thought Irish died at the end ofBattlefield 4during the Suez mission, as one of the options a player is presented with sacrifices the soldier. Because Irish is in Battlefield 2042, the Hannah ending is presumed as official canon. Irish is apparently one of the major familiar names fighting against the antagonist ofBattlefield 2042and his army.

SomeBattlefieldfans on Reddit think that the Irish Battle Hardened legendary skin is a good incentive to pre-order the upcoming game, while others aren’t so convinced. A few veterans of the series used previousBattlefieldtitles as examples not to pre-orderBattlefield 2042. ManyBattlefieldfans are celebrating the return of Irish since theExodus short movie, with some confirming their pre-orders.

Battlefield 2042releases on October 22 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
