Summary
Introduced in Season 2 ofMushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, Badigadi’s first appearance was during Rudeus' ordeal of having to defeat all the members of the Beast Race in Ranoa Magic Academy, who were challenging him to duels for the right to marry Linia and Pursena. Since the pair had falsely informed all their suitors that Rudeus was the leader of their pack, to hide behind his reputation as the Quagmire, Rudeus was forced to take on all of them in battle. After a time he found the task to be quite exhausting, even though his own strength was enough to easily defeat all of Linia and Pursena’s suitors.
On a certain day, as this campaign against him continued, Rudeus was surprised to find that all his challengers had been vanquished by someone new at the academy. A towering six-armed figure with a boisterous personality and formidable strength, Badigadi introduced himself as the fiancé of Kishirika Kishirisu, who had come to challenge Rudeus due to the jealousy he felt whenever his betrothed spoke of him. Thisprecipitated a series of events leading toBadigadi’s own enrollment in Rudeus' class, from where he would play a more prominent role inMushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.

Who Is Badigadi?
A member of the Immortal Demon Clan who is betrothed to the former Demon Empress, Badigadi has a fiery and exuberant persona, towering above most he encounters due to his massive stature. Possessing gray-purple skin and violet hair, he cannot help but stand out in most settings,and his conspicuous aura is only enhancedby his larger than life personality. Even among the swarms of students at Ranoa Magic Academy, Badigadi sticks out like a sore thumb.
In Badigadi’s own words, his ideal life consists of “traveling the world, dueling strong opponents, and seeking out beautiful women,” without any concern for status symbols such as titles, ranks, or participating in wars. Whiledueling the members of the Beast Raceat Ranoa Magic Academy, he did not kill a single one, even after having vanquished them all with little effort. Despite his carefree personality, Badigadi is a man of his word to the very end, honoring every promise he makes, regardless of who he makes them to.
By virtue of being a member of the Immortal Demon Clan, Badigadi can sustain virtually any amount of damage to his body with little to no long term repercussions, as he possesses the ability to regenerate. As seen in his fight against Rudeus, he was easily able to return to his full strengthafter Rudeus blew away some of his limbs. The only side effect here is that his body will temporarily shrink to a smaller size until his flesh is reassembled. Even if his body is completely destroyed, he will still be able to revive himself, although the process would take thousands of years.
The Demon Empress' Betrothed
Badigadi is also the younger brother of Atoferatofe Rybak, a Demon Lord on the Demon Continent, and the son of the Immortal Demon King Necross Lacross. His father was one among the eight Demon Kings who served the first Demon God during the era of the Six-Faced World. This was prior to the War of the Gods which led to the collapse of five worlds,leading all the races inhabiting them to fleeto the Human World.

In addition, Badigadi is engaged to be marriedto the former Demon Empress Kishirika Kishirisu, who was once saved from certain death by Badigadi’s father, during the collapse of the five worlds. The pair do seem to have a close relationship, as seen in Badigadi’s jealousy on realizing how Kishirika spoke so highly of Rudeus. This was one of the main reasons why he journeyed to Ranoa Magic Academy and eventually enrolled as a student there. He was also intrigued by Rudeus' unnaturally high mana capacity, which is why he took such an interest in him after their first battle.
One Of The Seven Great Powers
Since he was alive long before the time of the Second Great Human-Demon War, nearly 4000-5000 years prior to the start ofMushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, Badigadi is easily one of the oldest characters in the story. During this conflict,he was tricked by Hitogami into stealingand donning the Golden Armor of the Fighting God in order to protect Kishirika. The armor was itself created and used by the Demon Dragon King Laplace, who eventually realized that it was becoming sentient, and sealed it away for fear of it taking over his own consciousness.
Once Badigadi put on the armor,he became one of the Seven Great Powersand the one known as the Fighting God. After taking on the Demon Dragon King Laplace, he was able to defeat and split the Demon Dragon King into two entities: the Demon God Laplace, and the Technique God, after attempting and failing to execute the Dragon Race’s reincarnation ritual. The resulting explosion of mana split the Great Continent into the Central Continent and the Demon Continent, with the Ringus Sea between them.
Badigadi is anexpert at manifesting and harnessing Battle Aurato augment his already strong body, such that only a Saint or higher ranked attack can cause him any harm. This was partly why he was able to defeat all the members of the Beast Race at the academy. In addition, Badigadi also has an immunity to Demon Eyes, due to a mysterious drug he ingested on Hitogami’s orders. It is likely that he will have a more prominent role in the narrative as it develops at Ranoa Magic Academy, and only time will tell where his true allegiances lie.
