Mortal Kombat 11fans have been waiting for news regarding Sindel for what feels like an eternity. Sindel will beMortal Kombat 11’s fourth DLC character released as part of the game’s premium Kombat Pack, and today NetherRealm Studios officially announced plans for her release. More viscerally exciting, NetherRealm Studios also shared the first gameplay trailer for Sindel. The trailer providedMortal Kombat 11fans a first look at the character’s abilities, as well as Sindel’s first known Fatality.

Those familiar withSindelwill already know about her iconic Banshee Scream, as well as her prehensile hair.  Both of these powers come into play in Sindel’s first Fatality. At a distance, Sindel reaches out and grasps her opponent with her hair, holding them in the air by their forearms. Sindel then performs the Banshee Scream on her opponent, literally screaming the flesh from their body to the point where their lower half falls off. Then, in a coup de grace, a final powerful Banshee Scream explodes the remnants of the enemy.

Sindel’s firstMortal Kombat 11Fatalityis reminiscent of some of her past Fatalities, but isn’t a direct copy of any of them. For example, it’s akin to herMortal Kombat: DeceptionFatality, which slowly dismembers and eventually explodes the opponent. It’s also akin to her most common Fatality in the franchise, which tears the opponent’s flesh off until only a skeleton remains. TheMortal Kombat 11Fatality drops the skeleton in favor of a combination of flesh-stripping and dismemberment. Sindel clearly approves.

Each fighter inMortal Kombat 11is provided two different Fatalities. One is locked away in theKryptfor players to hunt down and earn on their own. This first Fatality shown by Sindel must be the one immediately available, rather than the one locked away. Perhaps NetherRealm Studios will share what the second Fatality looks like in time, or perhaps the Fatality will be kept secret for players to discover on their own.

Sindel is the fourth of six fighters planned for release as part ofMortal Kombat 11’s firstKombat Pack DLC. So far, Kombat Pack buyers have already received Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, and the Terminator. Sindel will arrive starting 11/26 for Kombat Pack owners.Mortal Kombat 11players who didn’t buy the Kombat Pack can purchase Sindel individually starting December 3. Following Sindel, NetherRealm still has both the Joker and Spawn to release as playable characters inMortal Kombat 11.

Mortal Kombat 11is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
