They note that they don’t have anything else to go on at the moment and can’t name their source due to potential legal trouble - but it is worth pointing out that they have correctly predictedMortal Kombat 1characters like Darrius, Sektor, and Cyrax before their confirmation. Furthermore, bac736 has shown the mods at r/MortalKombat this image, and they seem to agree that it looks authentic.
Shujinko made his first appearance in 2004’sMortal Kombat: Deceptionas the new main protagonist following Liu Kang’s death in the previous game. However, he wasonly playable inDeception’s Konquest mode. Additionally, he is tricked into summoning the Dragon King Onaga, who he was then tasked with defeating in the mode’s climax.
