Amusement park-goers are still awaiting the grand opening ofSuper Nintendo World, though despite that, new leaks continually trickle down showing glimpses of a colorful park giving off strong Nintendo vibes. To add to this, additional images have come out giving small previews as to what future attendees have in store for them once the park opens.
The images come from Twitter user @LCASTUDIOS_USJ, who regularly posts content regarding Universal Studios Japan. While theSuper Nintendo World images leaked last weekoffered aerial views of the theme park, having likely being shot with a drone, the new images are taken at the exterior of Universal Studios Japan, outside of Super Nintendo World’s location.

The images leaked mostly are focused onSuper Mario, rather than other Nintendo properties, as has generally been the case thus far. In the images above, the recognizable greenery from levels within theSuper Mariogames can be seen, as well as various platforms and a pyramid reminiscent of the desert levels found withinMario’s sidescrolling expeditions. Further, the trademark flagpole that acts as a finish line in the 2DMariotitles can be seen in multiple mages. Moreover, what appears to be a part of Bowser’s castle sticks out over the top of a wall in multiple images.
While Super Nintendo World is still a work in progress, it does look like it’s nearing its finish. With every new Super Nintendo World image comes a sense of progression regarding Super Nintendo World’s construction. While the theme park’s COVID-19-related delay had pushed its opening past its intended summer opening date, these images suggest that construction is continuing smoothly.
In addition to the Universal Studios Japan theme park,Super Nintendo World will also be getting an opening in Universal Studios Orlando. Orlando, Florida is home to some of the world’s largest theme parks and it will only become more of a tourism destination once Super Nintendo World opens in Universal Studios Orlando in 2023.
For now, Universal Studios Japan’s Super Nintendo World is nearing completion. As such, the most hardcore of Nintendo fans may be able to look forward to safe travel to Japan for adreamlike vacationsooner rather than later.
