Among the many new additions toMinecraftwith the Trails and Tales update, Pink Petals are a new item that has flown mostly under the radar. Players that have tried out the new update andmanaged to find a Cherry Blossom Grovehave no doubt seen this new feature, but it hasn’t been getting the same level of attention as things like the new Sniffer mob or the new Brush tool have. Admittedly, Pink Petals don’t have any groundbreaking properties and aren’t used to craft any new items, but they represent another side ofMinecraftthat is easy to forget about sometimes, the creative side.
For those that may have missed it, the Trails and TalesMinecraftupdate released on June 7th, 2023, and added a ton of new features, including mobs, blocks, crafting recipes, biomes, and more. Pink Petals are among the new items in the update and give players a new way to decorate their space. They also can be used to craft one item, although it isn’t a new item by any means.

Minecraft: What Are Pink Petals and How to Get Them?
Pink Petals are a decorative item found only in the new Cherry Blossom Grove biome. These spawn all over the ground in this biome, and have four different appearances. Players can break the Pink Petals on the ground to obtain 1-4 Pink Petals. They can also use Bone Meal on a Pink Petals tile to increase the number of Pink Petals there. Finally, using Bone Meal on dirt in the Cherry Blossom Grove biome will also cause a single Pink Petals tile to appear on the ground. Theability to use Bone Meal to spawn themmakes Pink Petals a renewable resource.
Minecraft: What Are Pink Petals For?
Pink Petals are primarily a decorative item, allowing creative players to make new looks and styles for their bases and constructions. Although Pink Petals only spawn in the Cherry Blossom Grove biome, they can be placed on Dirt blocks (andDirt-adjacent blocks like Mud, Farmland, etc.) in any biome. Finally, Pink Petals can also be used to craft pink dye at a one to one ratio, providing an alternative to Peony, Pink Tulips, or combining Red and White Dye.
Though they may not be the mostexciting new feature in the Trails and Tales update, Pink Petals are certain to be a hit with artistic players. The ability to create four different distinct appearances using them and the fact that they can be applied on any Dirt-like block in any biome make this a truly versatile decorative option.
