As players build their Outposts inMeet Your Maker, there will be times when they will want to rotate the blocks that they are placing. While the way that this is done is quite clear when playing on PC, as the relevant controls are displayed on the left side of the screen, the rotation process is slightly more complex in the console releases. Indeed, some console players may be unclear about exactly how to rotate items inMeet Your Maker, and this guide is here to point them in the right direction.
Meet Your Maker: How to Rotate Objects
To begin, it is important to establish that it is only possible to rotate objectsbeforethey have been placed. As such, the first step in the process is selecting an item that is capable of being rotated from the Build Menu. This could be a block, decal, prop, guard, or even certain traps, and fans will be able to move the object around theirOutposts inMeet Your Makerafter one has been picked.

Once an object has been chosen,Meet Your Makerplayersmust hold theMoreinput that is indicated in the top-left corner of the screen. For full clarity, that input isL2orLT, depending on which type of controller the player is using, and holding it makes it possible to rotate the selected objects in several different ways. Specifically, fans can use the d-pad to rotate the item horizontally and vertically, and the joysticks to rotate it clockwise and counterclockwise.
Notably, there is one additional command among the rotation controls, and it is “range preview.” To use this control, players must simply point the reticle at a placed trap and press the appropriate input. This will cause a translucent red rectangle to appear in front of the trap, which indicates its kill zone, and it can be quite useful for maximizing kills and expeditingprogression inMeet Your Maker.

One final thing to mention is that the inability to rotate placed items means that a Burial Site’s fixed objects really cannot be altered in any way. For the uninitiated, those objects are the foundational blocks, GenMat, and Forsaken Tombs that appear in every one ofMeet Your Maker’s Burial Sites, and it is wise to get familiar with their positions before starting a build. Indeed, the fixed-nature of these items means that players will need to plan their Outposts around them, taking some time to figure out how they can be incorporated into the build.
Meet Your Makeris available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
