This is a significant change from the usual posts about the highly anticipated follow-up, as players are usually asking Insomniac Games to include new gameplay features or costumes in its next game. The feature requests have included wall combat and web launches, while the suit requests have covered everything fromArachknighttoThe Amazing Spider-Man 2. Though there is plenty that gamers would like to see added, it seems like a portion of the fan base could do without the original game’s stealth missions.

Intended to change up the gameplay so that players got a break fromplaying as Peter Parker, the stealth missions saw gamers controlling MJ and Miles Morales. While Miles having powers now ensures that his missions in the sequel will be more focused on action than sneaking around, there is a chance that the MJ missions could still be featured in some capacity. This is something that Reddit user NaotoBot clearly does not want, and the same could be said for the 1,100 people that upvoted the gamer’s post.
In the comments, severalMarvel’s Spider-Manfansdetailed why they did not enjoy these gameplay sections. StormiReddit called the missions “annoying,” “stressful,” and “boring,” while FortniteGamerz123 said that only the Penthouse and Grand Central missions were enjoyable since they allowed for takedowns. Others, like BluntGut, believe that the missions are unenjoyable on replays, while Alien_X10 believes the missions are overly slow and there is too much waiting around. Others argued that MJ’s distraction methods made her missions unfun compared to Miles’ sections, while several commenters claimed that they simply want to play as Spider-Man in his own game.
However, it is worth noting that the community is fairly split on the missions, with many arguing that they were enjoyable. Commenters like Daveed75 said that they enjoyed having a different perspective on certain events, with Hxcfrog090 calling the Grand Central missions one of their favorite stealth levels in all of gaming.
