Marvel has already introduced many heroes in theMCU,including their most famous superhero team, the Avengers. However, it hasn’t paid that much attention to the more villainous characters that define the franchise. To fix that, some fans believe it’s time for theMCUto bring the Thunderbolts onto the scene.

This team has had multiple versions in the comics, but what connects them is that the Thunderbolts are villains trying to do the job of heroes. Portraying these characters would give the MCU new, fresh material to work with. Not to mention, there are many great characters who were once members of the team, whom fans would love to see in a Thunderbolts movie.
9Hawkeye
In an upcoming show, Clint Barton will star alongsideKate Bishop, the New Hawkeye. However, this shouldn’t stop him from also appearing in the Thunderbolts, movie as he was once a member of the team in the comics.
Clint has a criminal past, having fought Iron Man at least once before. He would fit in well with the team, but would still bring a sense of morality to it and maybe lead by example. Plus, since it’s clear Hawkeye won’t be getting a solo movie anytime soon, fans would enjoy seeing Jeremy Renner in another MCU film.

8Red Hulk
General Ross, whose nickname is “Thunderbolt,” has already appeared in the MCU and could easily make it into the Thunderbolts, is With his power to turn into the Red Hulk, Ross would be a welcome addition to the team.
He never got as much space in the MCU as he deserves, which is a shame considering the potential of this character. What’s more, his presence could lead to a Bruce Banner cameo, another thing the fans would enjoy.

7The Punisher
Let’s face it — it’s unlikely all of theNetflix’s Marvel heroes will come back into the MCU. But if anybody deserves it, it’s the antihero Punisher portrayed by Jon Bernthal. Punisher has no qualms about killing, which makes him extremely dangerous.
At the same time, the Punisher respects heroes such as Captain America, as he proved during the Civil War in the comics. It would be interesting to see Punisher clash with the other Thunderbolts members, either those less or more violent than he is.

6Winter Soldier
Bucky Barnes hasn’t had it easy in the MCU.Unlike his frenemy Sam Wilson, he didn’t become the new Captain America, so Bucky might have the time to join the Thunderbolts instead. Because of his past as the Winter Soldier, Bucky struggles with what he’s done, but he could redeem himself further by working with the Thunderbolts.

After all, this usually villainous team needs more heroic people who will try to steer them in the right direction. And if anybody can do it, it’s Bucky, considering his character, fighting skills, and overall experience.
5Deadpool
It’s now clear that Deadpool will make it into the MCU after all. He’s a bit of a wild card, butno stranger to working in teams, such as the X-Force. Joining Thunderbolts would fit in well with Deadpool. Not only did he join the team in the comics, but seeing him interact with other characters, be they heroes or villains, is always fun.
Deadpool has no problem with killing which would serve him well if he joined the Thunderbolts. And as many fans would agree, Ryan Reynolds’s antihero deserves as much space in the MCU as he can get.

4Ghost Rider
The previous live-action version of the Ghost Rider didn’t work so well on the big screen. However, Marvel proved that it can successfully revive even those characters who didn’t previously shine in movies.
Ghost Rider has a fascinating backstory. Considering the ground established by the more magical shows, such asWandaVision,Loki, or Doctor Strange’s movies, Ghost Rider could very well ride his motorbike right into the MCU. Since he only joined the Thunderbolts for a brief time in the comics, the team movie might introduce the Ghost Rider, who then might go on to have his own solo adventure.

3Moonstone
In some ways, Moonstone is similar to Captain Marvel, considering the range of her powers. She can fly, manipulate energy and gravity, and become intangible. She also possesses super strength and healing powers.

She also bears similarities to Harley Quinn. Moonstone is a psychiatrist who likes to study the team’s behavior, and se uses her membership in the Thunderbolts as a way to stay out of prison — much as Harley Quinn with the Suicide Squad. Moonstone is a complex character, and thanks to what she can do, she’s also one of the most powerful Thunderbolts members.
2Atlas
Seeing a hero change their size is exciting, as Ant-Man and Wasp proved. In Thunderbolts, the one with similar powers is Atlas. However, Atlas uses different means than Hank Pym, as he has his powers thanks to experiments with ionic energy.
Atlas has also been in the military which gave him the fighting skills necessary for being an effective member of the team. Unfortunately, he’s not one of the good guys, so it can be dangerous to trust him.

1Kobik
Despite looking like a child, Kobik is easily one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe. She was able to rewrite reality and make Steve Rogers a member of Hydra. Kobik joined the Thunderbolts alongside Bucky Barnes, and seeing them together could show another dimension of Bucky’s character.
Kobik met her untimely ending during her membership in the team, but that doesn’t mean she’d have to follow the same path in the movie. What’s more, the MCU still doesn’t have enough child heroes, so introducing Kobik into the universe would be a welcome change.
