The game thatall Soulsborne fanshave eagerly been waiting for since it was first revealed in 2021,Lies of Pis finally here, and this gritty re-telling of Carlo Collodi’s classic story ofPinocchiofeatures plenty of ways to customize the main protagonist. Many of the game’s trailers put the majority of their focus on the combat of the game, which is understandable since this makes up the core of the gameplay, but developers NeoWiz also went above and beyond with the customization options featured in the game itself.

While Pinnochio can come across a few accessories to wear during his adventures in thedark and desolate city of Krat, there are also over fifteen full costumes that he can wear too, many of which call back to the original story and its artwork in one way or another. It should be said that outfits will not provide any kind of buff to Pinocchio and are purely cosmetic, but with that being said, it doesn’t hurt to seek a few out so that Pinocchio can look the part while cutting down the many horrific and unnerving enemies that stand in his way.
6Survivor’s Hunting Apparel
This Hunting Apparel has quite adark and fascinating backstoryattached to it, explaining that this was once worn by a young man who fled a tower with his brother that had been toppled by the puppets. However, it then exclaims that he lost his “sworn brother,” along with his name that day, and simply became known as the “survivor” who becomes the boss Pinocchio encounters.
Aside from this incredibly interesting backstory, the formal look of the outfit itself makes it a great fit for any players who don’t want to get too flashy, but still want a fit that stands out. Because the Survivor mini-boss is optional, it can be easy to miss out on this costume, but he’s not too difficult to overcome so long as the player has a good grasp of the parry mechanic and their Legion Arms.
5Owl Doctor’s Hunting Apparel
The doctor who supposedly “lost his ego” also left behind this Hunting Apparel, which has anincredibly unique designto it and almost makes Pinocchio look more like a military general than anything else. Luckily, it can be found in the first few hours of the game and is quite easy to retrieve. Just make sure to either dodge or deal with all the ranged enemies that occupy Elysion Boulevard.

Equipping it will instantly make Pinocchio look much more suited for battle, and considering he still has a long way to go from this point, it’s well worth finding early on. For anyone struggling to find the house where the outfit is stashed, a puppet can be found hanging near the bridge. Throwing an object at the puppet will drop an item which will reveal the exact location of the safe house to make things a little easier.
4Red Fox’s Hunting Apparel
Since players are going to be running through the dark and dreary streets of Krat for much of the game, it doesn’t hurt to add a little color in the form of an outfit, and the Red Fox’s Hunting Apparel is certainly an eye-catcher. As the description of the outfit explains, the outfit was passed down through an honorable family, and while the house may have declined over the years, the equipment they left behind is still top-notch.
The bright white cravat that extends near the torso of the body is the cherry on top of this costume and really leans into the charming 19th-century aesthetic. Equipping theFrozen Feast Special Weaponis a fairly strange requirement for acquiring the Red Fox’s outfit, but luckily, it’s not too difficult to obtain. Simply visit Alidoro, who can initially be found in the St Frangelico Cathedral Library, and exchange theReborn Champion’s Ergoto receive this mighty greatsword.
3Alchemist’s Cape
If there was any outfit in the game that made Pinocchio look truly intimidating, it would have to be the Alchemist’s Cape, a jet-black attire that has a very heroic aura to it that looks a lot more modern than many of the other outfits in the game. As the name implies, the main feature of this incredibly stylish outfit is the cape that gently flaps behind Pinocchio as he sprints around the city of Krat.

Acquiring the Alchemist’s Cape is certainly no walk in the park, but anyone wholoves going through a few challenges to receive a hefty rewardshould look into completing the game’s Trinity Sanctums. There are a total of five Trinity Sanctums inLies of Poverall, all of which are packed with tricky enemies and a few platforming sections to overcome. The Alchemist’s Cape can be acquired when entering the very last Trinity Sanctum in the game, which can only be found when the player reaches the final area. The key needed for the Trinity Sanctum will also be required, and this can be found by answering one of Arlecchino’s riddles next to the Relic of Trismagitus Entrance Stargazer.
2White Lady’s Hunting Apparel
Probably the most visually striking outfit in the game, and one that helps to make Pinocchio a lot easier to see in the dark streets of Krat, the White Lady’s Hunting Apparel is a thing of beauty. This get-up becomes even better when paired with one of the many fun and weird accessories that are scattered around the game, especially theWhite Lady’s Maskwhich can be retrieved upon defeating the boss located on Rosa Isabelle Street.
While it’s understandable that many players would be eager to get their hands on this outfit as soon as possible, it’s heavily advised to take a lot of preparation time before facing down Laxasia the Complete as she’s one of thetrickiest bosses in the game. For most people, she will take a lot of trial and error to overcome, but the hard work will be worth it considering she’s the first step to retrieving the dazzling White Lady’s Hunting Apparel.
1Puppet Prince’s Formal Dress
The multicolored formal attire acquired after defeating Romeo has an incredible design that takes inspiration from the carnival-esque aesthetic of the tale of Pinocchio. One of the most striking features, aside from the vertical striped design pattern on the chest, is the puffy top of the pants, which are slimmed down thanks to the red and black boots. The creativity inserted into this outfit does make it a standout, and it’s surprising that players can retrieve it simply by beating a main boss considering how great it looks.
Still, Romeo the King of Puppets is no pushover, and is a boss who will severely punish players who haven’t taken the time to refine their weapons and stats. It’s worth keeping in mind that he does have a weakness to acid, so it can be worth finding anAcid Grindstoneto attach the element to the weapon that’s going to be used during combat. There’s also a very deep and personal backstory attached to the outfit which is worth reading. It talks of the original actress who once wore the outfitknown as Adelina Corday.
