League of Legendsis a game that was released in 2009 and has been continually updated ever since. With each new addition to the game, there is always a chance fornew bugs or glitches to appear. As the game is always being built upon, never remade, these bugs are all too common, and as such players often lovingly refer to the inner workings of Riot’s flagship game as spaghetti code.

While most of these bugs are insignificant, only appearing in incredibly niche situations, some bugs can have serious consequences for competitive integrity, leaving players frustrated. On the other hand, there aresome bugsthat will have allLeague of Legendsplayers choking with laughter.
10Darius Teleport Pentakill
A famous bug from theold days ofLeague of Legendswas when Darius could channel his Teleport to base while standing near enemies, and then the second he arrives cast his E - Apprehend. Somehow Darius would pull the enemy all the way across the map to his fountain, where they would be killed instantly by the turret.
As this bug required perfect timing and an unlikely setup, especially to pull in all five players for a pentakill, even those on the wrong end of this bug found it hilarious.

9Draven Cashing In On Illaoi’s Spirits
Draven gains stacks by catching his axes, and upon securing a kill he cashes in these stacks for huge amounts of gold. While this may sound overpowered, it is balanced by the fact that kills are hard to get and that most stacks are lost upon death.
This was mostly balanced until in 2019 a bug surfaced that allowed Draven players to cash in after killing the Spirits that Illaoi rips out of champions. With Illaoi’s E on a relatively short cooldown, players were quick to exploit this glitch and started playingIllaoi support alongside Draven. As long as Illaoi hit her E, Draven players could keep netting gold, until Riot eventually fixed it.

8Invincible Karthus
If Karthus is known for one thing, it is his point-and-clickultimate that damages all five enemiesregardless of how far away they are. Whilst modernLeague of Legendsplayers might think this is overpowered they would have been shocked by an old bug that made Karthus invincible.

Doing exactly what it says on the tin, Karthus was able to walk anywhere he wanted, even into the enemy fountain, without taking damage. This is while dealing his normal damage and ending the game in his own time.
7T-Pose Aphelios
Not all bugs need to have a massive impact on gameplay to make them amusing, sometimes a particular visual bug can do the trick and become the stuff of memes. Aphelios was no stranger to memes in the year or so surrounding his release and one of the best was when he’d get stuck T-posing in game.
Already a mysterious mute, the image of this highly trained hitman, levitating with arms raised, and an expressionless face cut quite the picture. What is scarier is that despite not even being able to walk, Aphelios would still proceed to murder his opponents, sometimes with invisible attacks.

6Azir Unlimited Towers
Just after Azir’s release onto the Rift in 2014, therewas a lore-accuratebug that made The Emperor of the Sands truly live up to his name. Azir could place an unlimited amount of Sun Discs, which are essentially replacements for fallen turrets.
Although an individual Sun Disc isn’t as strong as an actual tower, a screen full is more than just hilarious, it’s straight-up broken, and as such the bug was quickly resolved. This bug also enjoyed a second life years later with the release of Viego, who is known for causing bugs when turning into other champions.

5Trips To Space
League of Legendshas its own Astronaut-themedskins for a select handfulof champions, but due to a reoccurring knock up bug, it is likely that most of the roster has been launched into space at some point in time.

In certain situations, if a knock up ability is used as another particular spell is in effect, then champions can be launched up so high, that they disappear off the screen and in some cases take a while to fall back down.
4Unlimited Speed Viego
Viego, The Ruined King,is also known as the new King of Bugs within theLeague of Legendscommunity. His ability to possess enemy champions and become them is one of the most fun abilities in the game, but it comes at a cost with the complexity involved in coding such a feature.
One of the many bugs, for an unknown reason, gave Viego an absurd amount of movement speed, so much that he would seemingly teleport to the location of the click, no matter how far away. With Viego zipping around the map, both players and spectators were left in stitches.

3Poppy Pushing Baron Around The Map
Baron Nashor is as old and iconic asLeague of Legendsitself, every player knows that Baron deals a ton of damage and should be approached with care, thankfully they also know they are safe from its purple tendrils anywhere outside the Baron pit.

Once upon a time in the early days ofLeaguethough, this wasn’t always the case thanks to a certain hammer-wielding Yordle. Due to a hilarious bug, Poppy could use her E - Heroic Charge to push the supposedly Crowd Control immune Baron around. With patience for cooldowns, she could take Baron anywhere on the map, even using it to destroy the enemy’s base.
2100% Cooldown Reduction
Abilities inLeague of Legendsare balanced by cooldowns and when there is a glitch that allows players to cast spells with absolutely no downtime, pure chaos is unleashed. The beauty of this bug is that it’s up to thecreativity of the playersto make their clips as funny as possible.
From saving the planet by planting a thousand bushes with Ivern to belly-slamming all around the rift with Gragas, the possibilities are endless with this bug, especially when used in combination with other players

1Neeko Turning Into Turrets
Neeko’s passive allows her to take on the appearance of her allies, an ability designed to deceive and surprise enemies, but with no real power beyond that. This was all well and good until a bug surfaced in late 2022 that allowed her to turn into a turret.
Not only would she look like a tower, but she also gained its power, allowing her to march down mid and take tower after tower. This bug which enabled her to end games in record times, resulted in Neeko being temporarily disabled by Riot while they worked on a hotfix. Although the bug was removed, it won’t be as easy to remove the image of Neeko pretending to be a tower from players' minds.

League of Legendsis available for Mac and PC.
