Square Enix’s long-runningKingdom Heartsseries is a gift that keeps on giving to its fans. One of the most prolific RPG titles out in the market today, the company closed out 2020 with the release of aspin-off rhythm game,Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. Now, the company looks like it is getting theKHball rolling once again with an announcement that pre-orders for theKingdom Hearts 3Nendoroid versions of Sora and Riku are now live.

Since the first game’s launch in 2002,the title has churned out a huge amount ofofficialKingdom Heartsmerchandise of different kinds. With titles released across several platforms, spanning over 18 years, fans seem eager to shell out for official items that remind them of their favorite Keyblade wielders. This is probably why Square Enix has consistently worked with toy brand Good Smile Company to produce Nendoroid versions of Sora, Riku, and even King Mickey, over the past few years. This time, however, the newest figures are based off of what the characters look like in the latest numbered title,Kingdom Hearts 3.

On the official Good Smile Company site, two separate pre-order pages have been opened for interested buyers. Each page showcases photos of Sora and Riku in theirKingdom Hearts 3regalia. As is custom with all of GSC’s Nendoroids, each articulated figure will come with a different number of faceplates and accessories that are readily associated with the game’s characters. Each of the Nendoroids come at the price of 6,200 yen or $69.99 USD, depending on where fans are located.

As the main character of theKingdom Heartsseries, it looks like Sora’s Nendoroid will have more items included in the package. The figure will come with three different faceplate expressions and four Keyblades fromKingdom Hearts 3. This includes hisiconic Kingdom Key, Arendelle’s Crystal Snow, The Caribbean’s Wheel of Fate, and Toy Box’s Favorite Deputy.

On the other hand, Riku’s Nendoroid will only have two faceplates in the package andone Keyblade, his Braveheart. Given that Riku is known to have a closer relationship with theKingdom Hearts’version of Disney’s Mickey Mouse, the figure will come with a clear stand of King Mickey, also in hisKingdom Hearts 3attire.

It is noticeable that Good Smile Company has not announced any Nendoroid version forKingdom Hearts' main girl, Kairi. With such apivotal role inMelody of Memory, fans are hoping to see both Square Enix and GSC highlight her relevance by adding a figure in the Nendoroid line for the future.

Kingdom Hearts 3is available now for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
