Summary
InJujutsu Kaisen, no character ismore mysterious and introverted than Megumi Fushiguro. Megumi has grown since the show’s start, with his abilities improving as well as his personality when interacting with others. Like the other Tokyo Jujutsu High School students, Megumi learns to achieve his potential from the legendary Jujutsu Sorcerer, Satoru Gojo.
Megumi’s jujutsu potential is exceptionally high, with his father, Toji Fushiguro, paving the way for Megumi to become one of the strongest sorcerers around. Megumi’s development has been aided by several friends who have come into his life, whether fellow students or senior Jujutsu Sorcerers.
7Yuta Okkotsu
Megumi’s Special Grade Friend
Yuta Okkotsuis the main protagonist ofJujutsu Kaisen 0, with his special grade curse, Rika, being immensely powerful. Yuta defeated Suguro Geto, a special-grade sorcerer, in combat, showing his extreme potential as a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Despite Megumi and Yuta’s relationship not being shown inJujutsu Kaisenas of yet, Megumi respects Yuta as a person and his power, as mentioned when Nobara meets the second-year students at Tokyo Jujutsu High School.
Megumi being friends with Yuta can be linked to the two being reserved individuals, unlike the other students at Tokyo Jujutsu High School.
6Toge Inumaki
Megumi’s Quiet Classmate
Inumaki is a second-year student alongside Panda and Maki while being a year above Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji.Inumaki is a cursed speech userand a semi-grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer, being one of the strongest students at either Japanese jujutsu high school. Even though Megumi often finds Panda and Inumaki messing around, Inumaki makes up for it with his care for others in battle.
When Megumi, Inumaki, and Noritoshi face off against the special grade curse Hanami, Inumaki goes all out to defend his friends against Megumi’s wishes, showing how much he cares for his classmates and, in particular, Megumi.
5Maki Zenin
Megumi’s Relative
Maki is a year two student at Tokyo Jujutsu High School related to Megumi due to their Zenin Clan connection. Despite being unable to be a curse user,Maki is one of the strongest fighters inJujutsu Kaisendue to her combat skills and use of cursed weapons that have become her go-to.
Megumi and Maki both respect each other and their power levels as Jujutsu Sorcerers, despite any possible Zenin Clan rivalry that could have arisen. The duo combined well to try and take on Hanami, a special grade curse before the pair swapped out for Yuji and Todo.
4Panda
Megumi’s Senior Classmate
Panda is in the year above Megumi alongside Maki and Inumaki at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. Despite being in the year above, Panda is extremely friendly with the first-years as he and his classmates help train Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji. Of all the Tokyo Jujutsu High School students, Panda is one of the friendliest andfunniest characters in the groupand the show.
Panda’s friendly attitude makes it easy to see how Megumi can view him as one of his friends, particularly out of all his classmates.
3Satoru Gojo
Megumi’s Teacher
Gojo is the man responsible for bringing Megumi into the jujutsu world. Gojo also becomes Megumi’s mentor and benefactor throughout his time in high school. After Gojo defeated Megumi’s vicious and powerful father, Toji Fushiguro, Gojo recruited Megumi to Tokyo Jujutsu High School to escape the doom of the Zenin Clan, which aimed to take Megumi in. Megumi, like many others, finds Gojo’s enthusiasm too much to handle, although Megumi respects his teacher asGojo is the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer of them allby a considerable margin.
When Gojo gets captured, Megumi is one of the Jujutsu Sorcerers on the scene to save his teacher, showing loyalty to his friend.
2Nobara Kugisaki
Megumi’s Fellow First-Year Classmate
Nobara and Megumi have been close since their very first meeting. Being classmates, the pair naturally clicked in Tokyo Jujutsu High School. When Yuji supposedly dies early on, Nobara and Megumi mourn together while being a constant in each other’s lives as they progress through the school year.Nobara’s more outgoing and ferocious personalityis a far cry from Megumi, although the pair mesh well alongside their first-year classmate Yuji.
Despite not being the star student that Yuji is, Nobara and Megumi are both talented Jujutsu Sorcerers who care for each other due to their relationship as friends.
1Yuji Itadori
Megumi’s Best Friend
Yuji and Megumi were destined to become best friends from their first meeting. Megumi was the first person from the jujutsu world to come into contact withYuji, as he eventually became Sukuna’s vessel at Yuji’s high school. Since that event, the pair have been close since they are first-year Tokyo Jujutsu High School students.
Despite opposing personalities that cause Megumi to get frustrated, the pair both highly value each other, with their trust being shown in the Shibuya Arc, where they split off to try and save the day.
