Fans ofDragon Ball Zare no doubt familiar with the Flying Nimbus cloud. The Flying Nimbus makes an appearance inDragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as well, acting as a mount for Goku to get around in-game. While the Flying Nimbus cloud is no doubt a welcome sight to some, the game isn’t exactly clear on how to get off of it when players are done using it.
With the exception ofWalmart breaking the street date forDBZ: Kakarot, most fans have only gotten their hands on the game starting today. With that in mind, here’s how new players can hop off the Flying Nimbus cloud.

Taking a Hike
When the player is done withDragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s Flying Nimbus, getting off of it and resuming on-foot is actually a very easy task. It can be accomplished by pressing down on the D-pad - or down on the directional keys for PC players - when the Flying Nimbus is being ridden. However, there are certain exceptions to this rule.
Mandatory Flying Nimbus
There are unfortunately parts of the game where riding the Flying Nimbus is essentially required. During these moments, pressing down on the D-pad or directional keys will have no effect. Unfortunately, there’s nothing the player can do in this situation but to ride it out and then hop off when it’s possible to.
While the Flying Nimbus cloud may not always let players dismount when they want to, it’s still an extremely iconic part of the series. The Flying Nimbus was part ofDragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s collector edition, which included a diorama figure of Goku riding the Flying Nimbus.
Thus far,Dragon Ball Z: Kakarothas received relatively positive reactions from fans of the anime and manga series. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s perfect. Fans have been puzzled to see distinct differences between anime scenes and theirKakarotgame counterparts, like Goku’s power level no longer being over 9000, orVegeta having the wrong arm broken by Android 18. These oddities do stand out to anime fans, but given the size and scope ofDBZ: Kakarot, they’re relatively minor complaints.
