The Death Arcana is one ofPersona 3 Reload’s smaller arcanas, having only seven Personas. Fortunately, since it’s automatic, you won’t need to have a Death Persona when you go to rank up the Death Social Link. However, Death Personas specialize in Dark Skills, which can be hard to obtain at the beginning of your playthrough. As you level, you’ll be able to fuse most of the Personas in the Death Arcana. Samael is just one of these examples, and a decent Persona for the midgame ofPersona 3 Reload.

How to Get Samael
You won’t be able to get Samael from Shuffle Time, so the only way to register him to the compendium is to fuse him. There are multiple Fusion Recipesthat make Samael. Depending on your level, you may fuse high-level Personas to make a high-level Samael, or you can use most of the Personas you find on the Tziah Floor of Tartarus.
The following Fusion Recipes factor in thePersona 3 ReloadDLCs forPersona 5. If you don’t haveP5Personas (ex: Captain Kidd), then you may get a different result.

Instakill all foes that are afflicted with Fear.
If you’re not using Samael to knock down enemies, then you’ll notice Samael’s Skills are better suited for status ailments and ailments. Skills such asPoison MistandMudoonwill haveno effect on bosses, but you can use them on regular enemies. HisGhastly Wailis a great Skill to have if your opponents are afflicted with Fear. Unfortunately, Samael doesn’t learn any Skills that can induce Fear, so you’ll have to rely on your other Personas for this. Another alternative is to replace Ghastly Wail all together for a better Skill.
Samael’s Skills make him perfect for midgame, but he’s not someone you’ll want to carry tothe end of your campaign. Of course, youcoulddo this, but it’s highly recommended you use Incense to increase his stats and Skill Cards to give him stronger Skills.
