How to Dive Underwater in Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacyhas bodies of waterwith hidden dungeonsand treasure vaults, and while players can swim, they cannot dive underwater. There are only specific locations where players are allowed to dive underwater. The diving mechanic is limited and does not allow players to explore various bodies of water.
Fortunately, players can still interact with bodies of water, albeit the interaction plays out like a cut scene where the player dives into a body of water, and the camera cuts to the part where the player emerges out of it with the items they find therein.
Diving and Finding Treasure in Hogwarts Legacy
As mentioned earlier,Hogwarts Legacylimits locations where players can dive into bodies of water. To dive into bodies of water for treasure, follow these steps:
- The player will move to a new location and return with items from the body of water.Players can get treasures, including outfits, headwear, gold bonuses, neckwear, gloves, robes, and cloaks.
Apart from swirling or bubbling water, players can only swim on the surface of other bodies of water.
It is worth noting locations where players can dive underwater are marked by a purple circular icon on the map. Players will use the diving mechanic for the first time during The Lost Astrolabe quest, assigned by Grace-Pinch Smedley. The Mer-ky Depths is another quest where players must dive underwater to search for a treasure vault in a cave near the Great Hall.
