Building the working mechanism of custom vehicles can be an arduous task inLEGO Fortnite, but a new item is all set to make things significantly easier for those with creative tendencies to craft.
WhileLEGOFortnitehas an intricate vehicle design system, the lack of control over individual Thrusters has been heavily criticized for a while now. Thankfully, the Wrench is now here and will prevent players from relying on complicated designs to getvehicles like planes working inLEGO Fortnite.

Wooden Rod
To unlock the Wrench, players will need tohave aWooden Rodin their inventory.Getting a Wooden Rod is a bit tricky since there are a few items that are required.
Firstly, players need to get Wood, which can be easily obtained by picking up the dropped ones scattered all across the game’s world.

Next, using Wood and Granite, players will need to obtain the Lumber Mill. Finally, using the Lumber Mill, players can craft Wooden Rods, which will unlock the Wrench Recipe.
Wrench
With the recipe added, the next step is obtaining items for the Wrench. WhileWooden Rods are pretty trivial to get, the tricky part is obtaining a Cord, which can only be crafted using a Spinning Wheel. Players willneed 5 Wooden Rods, 8 Planks, 5 Wolf Claws, and 5 Woodforcrafting the Spinning Wheel. Most items can beobtained from the Lumber Wheel, while Wolf Claws can defeat the wolves that are abundantly found in the Grasslands Biome.
After the Spinning Wheel is ready, players will need to then get5 Vines to make a Cord. There are a couple of ways to get Vines, including destroying plants as well as harvesting Pumpkin and Corn.

Finally, players can make a Wrench using Cord and Wooden Rods.
How To Use The Wrench
The Wrench solves the issues of custom-made vehicles by allowing players to have much greater control over them.Precisely, now players can assign Thrusters to channels, which ensures that it iscontrolled by a specific switch inLEGO Fortnite. To get a better understanding, suppose there is a thruster that is placed to move your vehicle to the right. However, unless and until players have ensured that a specific Switch is tied to that particular Thruster, it will end up activating all Thrusters in the vehicle.
That is when the Wrench comes into play: Using the Wrench, players can use up to three channels to create a link between Thrusters and Switches. This essentially means all the Thrusters in only that Specific Channel will be controlled by a Switch. To assign a channel, players can hold the Wrench in their hands while interacting with Thrusters or Switches. The Channels menu will pop up which you may then use to assign channels.
