What is Among The Sleep?

With Halloween right around the corner, theEpic Games Store’s free game for October 21, Among the SleepEnhanced Editionhas come at just the right time. The original survival horror title is nearly six years old now, but it could still be a great game to pick up for those who haven’t played it, or are just looking to jump back in with the enhanced version.Among The Sleepwas fairly well-received at launch, and as the version available through Epic Games Store is the Enhanced Edition, it will likely be just as well-received by a more contemporary audience.

Among the Sleepis aunique indie horror gamewith a rather interesting premise. The game puts the player in the shoes of a toddler who has a pretty extreme nightmare following a fight between his parents. The game can get very tense at times, with only the game’s supporting character, Teddy (an actual teddy bear) providing a distraction from the overwhelming atmosphere. In addition, the player assuming the control of a toddler doesn’t help to alleviate the stress, as it adds a sense of vulnerability to the character while also increasing the player’s physical limitations. Navigating the world ofAmong the Sleepcan be a hair-raising experience at times, which makes the Enhanced Edition a great Halloween game to play through.
