Each new update has introduced a trio of characters to the game, most recentlyadding Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx with Version 1.3’s debut. Now, leaks are hinting at multiple characters already teased within the game for Version 1.6.
Honkai: Star Rail’s litany of leaks have already shown off a plethora of characters expected to release during upcoming patches. HoYoverse would recently confirm three characters will appear in Version 1.4, with the highly-anticipated Jingliu set to debut alongside new characters Topaz and Guinaifen. Leaks have also showcased Huohuo and Argenti as Version 1.5’s featured five-star characters, with Hanya also appearing as a four-star unit. Now, new leaks are suggesting Version 1.6 will introduce a pair of Genius Society members to the game’s roster.

A new batch of leaks shared byHonkai: Star Railleaker hsr_stuff2 via fellow leaker Dim showcases thethree new characters set to appear in Version 1.6. According to the post, the update will add two new members of the game’s “Genius Society” to the roster withRuan Mei and Screwllum making their playable debutalongside new character Hanabi. Both Ruan Mei and Screwllum have featured in dialogue through the recently-added Swarm Disaster event, with Screwllum also appearing in-person during Version 1.1. Version 1.6 ofHonkai: Star Railis currently expected to launch on January 3rd.
Honkai: Star Rail’s newest leak also shares more information about the elements and rarities for each of the game’s new cast members, welcoming several new combinations. Ruan Mei is set to debut as the first Ice element character inHonkai: Star Rail’s Harmony Path, playing a supportive role in teams. Screwllum’s introduction tothe Erudition Pathwill also mark the first Imaginary character in the AoE-focused class. Hanabi will appear as a Quantum element Harmony character with her debut in Version 1.6.
The debut ofHonkai: Star Rail’s newest Genius Society members comes as the RPG has welcomed plenty of new additions throughout its early updates. Version 1.3’s recent launch would debut a major new expansion to the popular Simulated Universe game mode,adding the Swarm Disaster challenge mode. The update also added a new area to the Xianzhou Luofu, introducing Aurum Alley alongside a new management-style mini-game.Honkai: Star Rail’s upcoming patches look to have plenty in store for players between new characters and new content.
