Among the many quests players will receive while playingHogwarts Legacy, The Plight of the House Elf is arguably the most sorrowful quest anyone will experience in the game. It starts with Deek who’s worried about his friend, as the Elf hasn’t heard from him in a while.
There are a couple of steps players must complete before triggering The Plight of the House Elf inHogwarts Legacy. Most of them are unlocked automatically as the Protagonists progress through the story ofHogwarts Legacy.

How To Trigger The Plight Of The House Elf Quest In Hogwarts Legacy
To trigger The Plight of the House Elf quest, players must complete The High Keep mainquest inHogwarts Legacy. After saving Highwing and another Hippogriff alongside Natty, players will receive an owl from Professor Weasley asking them to meet Deek in the Room of Requirement.
The Elf explains that his old friend, Tobbs, is locked inside a cave infested with spiders and can’t get out because of his cruel master. As a result, Deek suggests that players try out theirupgraded gear inHogwarts Legacywhile checking on Tobbs at the same time. Upon accepting the request, The Plight of the House Elf quest will begin.
How To Complete The Plight Of The House Elf Quest In Hogwarts Legacy
To complete The Plight of the House Elf quest, the Protagonists must find Tobbs inside the cave and report back to Deek. First, head to the marked location on the World Map by teleporting to the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame. It’s possible from this point to either go on foot or use a Broom or a flying mount to reach the entrance of the Spinners Cavern.
Once players are inside, follow the steps mentioned below to find Tobbs:
Sadly, at the end of the road, lies the body of Tobbs with a note containing his last words. The Elf failed to fight the big spider, Acromantula, and he apologizes for his failure. Upon returning to Deek intheHogwarts LegacyRoom of Requirement, tell him about the cruel ending his friend faced to complete The Plight of the House Elf quest.
