Sony also released a special edition controller tocelebrate the launch ofGod of Ragnarokin November 2022.

In addition, Sony recently confirmed that alimited edition PS5 controller themed aroundHogwarts Legacywill be available in the US and the UK. Featuring a unique design, this DualSense controller is only available on the PlayStation Direct website, with pre-orders going live in the US at 10 AM PT today. Preorders went live in the UK at 10 AM GMT, but it looks like demand for this controller was extremely high, as it appears to be no longer available.

As reported by Push Square, theHogwarts LegacyPS5 controller sold out almost immediately in the UK, and it’s listed as currently unavailable on the PlayStation Direct website. It looks like the stock is extremely limited for theHogwarts LegacyDualSense controller, which may be a reason for it only being available in the US and the UK. However, fans can still purchase any of theother PS5 controllers, including the special edition DualSense themed aroundGod of War Ragnarok, from PlayStation Direct. ​

It’ll be interesting to how long it takes for theHogwarts LegacyPS5 controller to sell out when it goes live at 10 AM PT. Gamers should note that even though pre-orders for this device go live today, it will only launch on July 10, 2025. On the other hand, users who managed to secure a pre-order in the UK may get it by February 10 itself, as that is listed as the official launch date.

Hogwarts Legacycomes with full supportfor all the unique features present in the DualSense controller including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Various gameplay elements ofHogwarts Legacyuse both features extensively, and the speaker on the controller, for a more immersive gameplay experience.

It looks likeHogwarts Legacyhas been a massive success, as it currently holds the record for the biggest release for WB Games on Steam with a peak concurrent player count of 489,139 users. It’s more impressive considering the standard version of the game just came out, with only users paying extra for the deluxe version getting access when this total was reached. It’ll be interesting to see what the final peak concurrent player count forHogwarts Legacysettles at over the launch weekend, and how it compares to other popular single-player games on Steam.

Hogwarts Legacyis now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and the Switch version launching on July 25.
