Hogwarts Legacytells the story of a young fifth-year student during their time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Shortly after they arrive at the famed wizarding school, the player will be given a chance to explore the vast world outside, where they can encounter a variety of frightening beasts, friendly creatures, and even some ordinary cows.

While mostHogwarts Legacyplayers will likely seek out the game’s more magical creatures, those who hope to obtainthe Spilled Milk achievementwill need to find at least one cow during their time exploring the map. Finding cows can be a little tricky, however, especially if the player doesn’t know where to begin looking.
Where To Find Cows In Hogwarts Legacy
Most players will happen upon a few cows while simply exploring the vast world ofHogwarts Legacy, but those who have yet to encounter any can easily find a herd of themsoutheast of Hogsmeade, just south of whereLeopold Babcocke’s storeis located.
To reach this location,the player should fast-travelto theEast Hogsmeade Valley Floo Flameand proceed south until they find Leopold. A large herd of cows can then be seen wandering the field nearby, and though it doesn’t seem like they can be interacted with, tipping them over is quite simple.
How To Tip Cows In Hogwarts Legacy
In order to tip cows inHogwarts Legacy, the player will first need to acquirethe Flipendo spell, a knockback jinx that causes whatever or whoever it is cast at to flip backward. To acquire this spell, the player will need to completeProfessor Garlick’s Assignment 2, a pretty straightforward quest that requires the player togrow and harvest Fluxweedand use aMandrake, aChinese Chomping Cabbage, and aVenomous Tentaculasimultaneously.

Once these objectives have been completed, the player can then return to Professor Garlick in her Herbology classroom, where they will be taught how to cast Flipendo.
Upon locating a cow inHogwarts Legacy, the player shouldequip the Flipendo spellto one of their spell sets, aim at the cow, and cast Flipendo. This will cause the cow to flip over and fall to the ground. In order to obtainthe Spilled Milk achievement, the process must berepeated nine more times.
The cow will attempt to flee once it has been cast at, but if it escapes, the player can continue casting Flipendo at the other cows nearby. So long as Flipendo has been used totip a cow ten times, the Spilled Milk achievement will be obtained, so players don’t need to focus on flipping one individual cow to acquire it.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One versions will release on April 4, and a Switch version will release on July 25.
