Hogwarts Legacyis filled with various magical items and objects, as well as places and people. A fun mechanic which the game developers have introduced to help players keep track of the many different magical things spread out around the world is the Revelio Pages to be gathered for the purpose of filling the player character’s field guide.

8Caged Bathtub
One of the more completely random interactionsa player can have inHogwarts Legacyis to stumble across this room, where a cage holds a mysterious bathtub in check. If the particular Revelio field guide page detailing this entry is read, it reveals the strange history behind this particular item.
The bathtub is revealed to have been an enchanted item that used to chase students around Hogwarts who refused to shower. It is a baffling and amusing piece of Hogwarts history to include in the field guide but presents a great idea for ensuring that the teenagers who are on the loose around the school keep good hygiene practices up.
7Frog Choir
There are a lot of ways in which animals, creatures, and house elves are used in and around Hogwarts which beg some unusual questions inHogwarts Legacy. Perhaps the strangest of the lot is the frog choir which can be found in the music room.
This room resides at the top of the Bell Tower Courtyard area in the castle. It seems like a rather strange inclusion as one of the Revelio field guide pages in the game. Despite the page claiming that the frogs sing better as a team than most humans, it feels unlikely their range of pitches can really make for a whole choir.
6Gladrags Mannequin
There are a lot of magical items that act differently in the Wizarding World ofHogwarts Legacyfrom how players are used to them acting in the real world. Such items include mannequins, which are used for spell practice and are capable of moving to make it a more interesting challenge trying to hit them while practicing.
However, this is not one of those. The mannequin at Gladrags in Hogsmeade really is just that, a plain old mannequin that doesn’t move or do anything. This makes it a strange choice to include as an item of note in the field guide, as it really doesn’t do anything at all and there is nothing magical about it, besides the clothing items which are sometimes placed on it. Many similarlystrange items are available conjurationsin the Room of Requirement.
5Tapestry Of Barnabas The Barmy
Difficult to say why Hogwarts paintings depict what they do at times. Many famous witches and wizards are seen around the castle, as well as some more interesting but less capable figures. Barnabas the Barmy’s painting is one such item, which depicts the ancient wizard in his attempts to train trolls for ballet.

It seems even stranger for this page to be included in the field guide, as it is amusing but not necessarily that important a part of history for young witches and wizards to learn. 4Frog Spawn Soap
There are a lot of items that can be bought in Hogsmeade village that make sense. Wizarding versions of human items improve in some way from human life usually. The Wizarding World is filled with fun, unique ideas that could be incredibly useful, and also with some surprisingly fundecorating in the Room of Requirement.
However, frog spawn soap is not one of them. Meant as more of a prank joke than anything, frog spawn soap does exactly what it says on the label. If used in a shower, tadpoles will explode from this bar. While useful as a prank, it is an unusual item to have in any world, and an even stranger thing to be cataloged in a field guide. Perhaps Professor Weasley, the one who tasked the player with the field guide, has a mischievous streak in her past?
3Gorgon Portrait
It is unsurprising to see how many pieces of mythology and history are rewritten in Wizarding World terms forHogwarts Legacyas well as theHarry Pottermovies. It only makes sense that wizards would be involved in many of the strange happenings throughout the history of the world. Greek mythology speaks of Medusa, or the Gorgon, who could turn men to stone with a look.
The same goes for this portrait. If interacted with, the portrait will cast Petrificus Totalus on the player character, effectively turning them to stone for a short time. It is unknown why this is kept locked up in Hogwarts of all places, or why the player needs it as a part of their field guide.
2Cinnamon Bark
There are many intriguing magical ingredients to be found around the world ofHogwarts Legacy. Players get to even grow their own magical ingredientsand brew their own potionsin what are some of the bestHarry Potterworld experiences available in the game.
However, cinnamon bark is not magical. It is found lying near a goblin camp, and the entry suggests that a goblin in the camp found the food there a bit bland and was trying to liven it up with this addition. There is nothing more to it, and thus one has to wonder what it is doing there at all, especially as part of the field guide.
1Scrivenshift Cats
Cats are a strange fixture ofHogwarts Legacy. While they can be interacted with wherever they are found, players are not able to take them like they can magical beasts which are located around the map. Cats can merely be interacted with but never owned. This is one aspect of Hogwarts Student life that is a bit neglected in the game, as usually, students get to own a pet such as an owl or a cat.
Nevertheless, there are plenty of cats to pet all around the map. Particularly the ones near the Quill shop in Hogsmeade. It is unknown, as the field guide page entry dictates, whether the cats are drawn there because of the feathered quills or because the owner leaves out treats for them. Either way, it seems strange to include it as a piece of information in the important guide. Despite all of these unusual additions,Hogwarts Legacyis one of the best games of 2023 thus far.
