Hitman 3, the final part in IO Interactive’s stealth series, launched last month. The new title finishes the World of Assassination storyline, which began in 2016, and just like the previous games in the series,Hitman 3features plenty of Challenges for players to complete.
Most ofHitman 3’s Challenges are unique methods of murder, exploration achievements, or interesting map features. This is because its levels are designed to be very replayable. However, some of theChallenges inHitman 3are story-based, and there’s even one for discovering the game’s secret ending. Players who choose the third path at the end ofHitman 3will complete the New Father Challenge. There are major spoilers ahead for the game’s ending, so players who want to experience it for themselves should stop here.
Murder on the Carpathian Express
Thefinal mission ofHitman 3sees Agent 47 finally confront the Constant, aka Arthur Edwards, having been delivered onto his secret train by Diana Burnwood’s fake betrayal. In the mission Agent 47 must sneak or battle his way from the end of the train to the front, all while it thunders through the Carpathian mountains.
Once Agent 47 has reached the Constant’s compartment, he’ll find his target alone and unguarded. The Constant is clever enough to realize he stands no chance of resisting, and prepares to die with dignity. He does however make an attempt to convinceAgent 47 to take the memory wipe serum, and erase his past once again. 47 refuses the serum, seemingly leaving players with the choice of either killing the Constant, or injecting him with it.
Dawn of a New Day
to complete the New FatherChallenge inHitman 3, players should pick up the serum and wait around a minute. Noticing that Agent 47 is hesitating, the Constant will make a second attempt to convince him to take the serum. This time players should do so, following the button prompt that will appear on-screen.
Agent 47 will pass out, and the New Father Challenge will be complete. Afterwards, players are treated to a short cutscene of Agent 47’s new life. He wakes up strapped to a bed in a padded cell, while the voice of the Constant tells him “Wake up my friend. It’s the dawn of a new day and you have things to do…” Fans of theHitmanfranchise will recognize this scene as the beginning of the veryfirstHitmantitle, way back in 2000.
