Along the way, Chai is joined by new team members who aid him in battle. Striking an enemy on beat deals more damage and offers greater rewards that are paid out at the end of every combat encounter. The new mode will allow players to pause the game in the middle of the action to pose Chai and his four buddies however they see fit. The photos can then be edited with filters, camera effects, and frames at the player’s discretion, which players have been demandingsinceHi-Fi Rushshadow droppedafter an Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct showcase. The officialHi-Fi RushTwitter account also promised to soon launch a photo contest, giving fans the chance to possibly win prizes for snapping the best pictures with the new Photo Mode.
The update also includes fixes for technical issues players have been experiencing in the game. A few “UE4 Fatal Error” bugs have been fixed, along with a fix for a couple of issues that prevented players from progressing the story after a specific set of actions were taken. All told, the update fixes 21 separate problems that should make for a smoother, less buggy experience for a game that didn’t have many bugswhen it first hit Steam and Xbox Game Pass.
