Released in 2018,God of Warwas an unexpected game for fans of the PlayStation series. While past installments in the franchise focused on constant action, thedevelopers at Santa Monica Studiosteered this latest entry in a new direction. With a greater focus on narrative, the game centered more on the character of Kratos. One scene from the game that showcased this emphasis on story elements involved an intricate vase seen in Tyr’s Vault.

During this scene, Kratos, along with his son Atreus, entered a room containing many riches. As the demigod surveyed the area, he spotted a vase on a pillar. To his surprise, the vase featured an illustration of him and his violent past. However, the beautiful pottery only saw a few moments of screentime as Kratos smashed it on the ground. Despite only being seen for a minute, it has gained popularity with fans of the series. Recently, one fan was fortunate enough to be gifted a replica of the vase in real life.
