Now, Version 4.3 is set to bring back the game’s popular “Extreme Beetle Brawl” mini-game as one of the update’s events.

A new leak shared by prominentGenshin Impactleaker Tao via fellow leaker StepLeaker has revealed thereturn of the “Extreme Beetle Brawl” event. The event, first featured in Version 3.4, pits players against NPCs and other characters using Inazuma’s Onikabuto beetles, tasking players with mastering the unique beetle mechanics. Beetle battling is referred to as a popular pastime in Inazuma byfive-star character Arataki Itto, referenced both in his dialogue and Story Quest.Genshin Impact’s Version 4.3 update is currently expected to release in mid-December.
The re-run of the Inazuma-focused event has also led to speculation about the potential of Arataki Itto receiving a re-run. Itto’s last re-run came just before the debut of “Extreme Beetle Brawl,“appearing alongside Wanderer’s debut bannerin the first half of Version 3.3. Arataki Itto also serves a unique role inGenshin Impactas the last five-star Geo character to be released to the game, launching nearly two years ago. Though Itto has not seen as much general popularity, the oni has long been considered among the strongest DPS options for Geo teams.
Rumors of the “Extreme Beetle Brawl” and an Itto re-run come as Itto may not hold his title as the last Geo five-star unit for much longer. Leaks fromGenshin Impact’s Version 4.3 have heavily suggested that new five-star character Navia will debut as a Geo character,Genshin Impact’s first since Yun Jin in January 2022. Many fans have also called for changes and evencomplete overhauls to the forgotten Geo element, often considered to be the weakest of the game’s seven elements. Version 4.3 looks to bring plenty of love to Geo characters between Navia and an Itto-focused event.
