Summer is usually the time forGenshin Impactplayers to enjoy the Golden Apple Archipelago, but HoYoverse is bringing something new in 2023. A summer event will still be held, but the landscape focuses more on Sumeru’s topography instead of Mondstadt’s. Of course, players are likely looking forward to Fontaine instead of a new limited island, but the fact that it’ll be a new area likely excites many Travelers.

Genshin Impact3.8 also comes with no new units, so players who want to just save for Fontaine characters can simply use the next version to hoard wishes. Additionally, the Primogems rewarded fromGenshin Impact3.8 livestream codeswill surely add a decent amount to the players saving. However, it’s crucial to be quick as these June redeem codes expire less than a day after the 3.8 livestream drops.

What To Expect In Genshin Impact 3.8

There’s no drip marketing fornew characters whenGenshin Impact3.7 drops, so players won’t be seeing new faces in version 3.8. Instead, players can expect some character reruns, with Eula, who hasn’t been featured for a very long time, and Klee being the two top contenders for a rerun. Klee is usually the main star of summer events in the Golden Apple Archipelago, but HoYoverse seems to be mixing things up as the summer event of 2023 appears to take place in Sumeru’s landscape rather than Mondstadt.

Eula is a Cryo character who wields a Claymore, but hergameplay revolves around Physical DMG rather than Cryo. Recently, a support that’s perfect for her, Mika, was released, but Eula wasn’t included in his banner. This was shocking, considering niche supports are usually accompanied by their most-suitable DPS. For instance, Raiden Shogun’s banner would always feature Kujou Sara, and Arataki Itto’s banner always boosts the chance of getting Gorou. Add to that the fact that Eula hasn’t been featured for a long time, and it only makes sense that the Vengeance Queen is finally back in the limited banner.

Meanwhile, Klee is a chaotic Pyro user who wields the Catalyst, making her a prominent character for Pyro damage dealing. In combat, she performs as a main DPS, and despite looking childish,Genshin ImpactKlee has some of the most interesting mechanics in the gamethat make her hard to master. She’s currently not deemed as the best damage dealer since there are better and easier options like Hu Tao, but the charm of Alice’s daughter is surely enough to get people to want the little fish-blaster on their team.

Other than limited islands and long-awaited rerun, players can also expect more TCG cards to be released. After the massiveTCG update onGenshin Impact3.7, it’s quite clear that the developer is planning to continue expanding the card game, so it won’t be surprising if more cards are added in version 3.8.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
