Finding the Cardboard Box can be challenging, but here’s a quick guide on where and how to find it.

Where to Find the Cardboard Box in Chapter 5, Season 1
A guaranteed way to get a Cardboard Box is to land on the northern side of Lavish Lair, one ofthe best landing spots inFortnite, and interact with the Solid Snake NPC (marked on the map above). The Solid Snake NPC will sell you one for 100 gold bars, ensuring you can use it to complete the quest. Visiting Lavish Lair at the beginning of the match is advisable to avoid running into opponents. The Solid Snake NPC is quite popular, so beware of other enemy players looking to interact with him.
Players can also find the Cardboard Box anywhere on the map as ground loot or in chests. The box spawns randomly on the map, but few can be found in a single match since it’s a mythical item. Chances of stumbling into one while evading the storm circle are pretty slim, but if you look in enough chests, you may succeed. Alternatively, you’re able to find the Cardboard Box by defeating an enemy player who has it equipped.

How to Use a Cardboard Box
To use the Cardboard Box inFortnite, equip it to add it to the inventory. Next, throw it on the ground by pressing the trigger button on your controller and click the associated hide button to get inside. Players must hide in the box for at least 10 seconds to completethe Solid Snake quest. The Cardboard Box can be used to move around the map undetected or as cover during heated one-on-one battles. It’s an excellent evasion and protection tool when players are pinned down.
