Over the years,The Fast and The Furiousfilms have evolved from relatively simple movies about street racing intobig-budget Hollywood blockbusters with action set piecesthat defy the laws of physics. However, YouTube creators Kent Yoshimura and Kevin Fairy have taken the franchise back to its more modest roots with a recreation of the original film that was produced for under $100.
Produced for exactly $91.91, Yoshimura and Fairy’s version ofThe Fast and The Furioussummarizes the events of the first film in roughly 20 minutes with both men sharing duties of portraying dozens of characters.The Fast and The Furiousfan film also makes use of toy vehicles and stock VFX explosions to recreate some of the movie’s high-octane action sequences. The score was taken from AudioJungle and features an audio watermark at certain points.

The Fast and The Furiousfollowed Los Angeles police officer Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) on an undercover mission into the world of illegal street racing in order to bring down a crew of unknown automobile hijackers led by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). A tenth film is currently scheduled to be released on July 10, 2025, and it is intended to be the final chapter of the mainFastsaga. However, Universal is developingThe Fast and The Furiousspin-offs, including an untitled female-led film and a sequel toHobbs and Shaw, the first entry in the studios slate of spin-offs.
Considering the bizarre routeThe Fast and The Furiousfilms have taken over the years, this fan film may not be the strangest thing to come out of the franchise as of late. Considering franchise star Christopher ‘Ludacris’ Bridges has already alluded to thepossibility ofF9having scenes in space, Yoshimura and Fairy’s film seems relatively tame in comparison.
Fast and Furious 9will be released in theaters on June 15, 2025.
