Fallout 76is an online version of theFalloutfranchise that is set in West Virginia, the heart of the Appalachian region of the United States. The game follows the player character as they emerge from Vault 76 for the first time in 25 years, exploring Appalachia and learning about the region now that the Great War and the fallout are over.
The main aspect of the game is to figure out how to survive in society now that the fallout has happened and radiation has destroyed so much of the area. Players will need to work together as they try to create a life outside the confines of their Vault. One place players can visit in the game is Camp Venture. Here’s how players can find this location.
What Is Camp Venture In Fallout 76?
Camp Venture is an area in Appalachia that was known specifically for its survival training, which was known as VESTS (Virginias Endurance and Survival Training). The area was where people from both Virginia and West Virginia (and anywhere else in the world) could go to learn more about survival. After the Great War, the camp fell into disarray and eventually became the site where the Appalachian Brotherhood of Steel started out. Unfortunately, the camp eventually couldn’t function anymore, and by the time of Vault 76’s opening, it had become overrun by the Scorched and Scorchbeasts.
While there is some notable loot in this area (potentially two magazines, three Vault-Tec Bobbleheads, Power Armor Chassis, and some Fusion Cores), the best loot that players can find here is the many different Holotapes and notes that mention information on the beginning of theBrotherhood of Steelin Appalachia. These pieces of information work to create an excellent picture of explaining how the organization came to Appalachia and how they built their presence in the region.
Camp Venture Location
Camp Venture is located within The Mire region of Appalachia. It is located to the northeast ofKerwood Mineand to the east of the National Radio Research Center. Additionally, players can find it by going south of Harpers Ferry or north of Ranger Lookout.
There are three layers to this location. First, players will come across the outer layer, which is where they can find some bunkhouses, storage areas, and cabins. Then, the middle layer is where the Brotherhood of Steel things are located. This has barracks, some workstations, and cabins. Finally, the last layer has a landing pad for Vertibirds and a shooting range.
