With its closed beta kicking off today and its final release only being a month away, it was the perfect time for Sledgehammer Games to reveal a little of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and that’s exactly what it did during yesterday’s Call of Duty Next event. Over the course of a few hours, Sledgehammer Games, with the help of some very talentedCoDstreamers, pulled back the curtain onCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer, its Zombies mode, and a bevy of changes coming toCall of Duty: Warzone.
Along with various gameplay tweaks and additions such as a brand new Urzikstan map forWarzoneand its accompanying new Gulag,Call of Duty Nextbrought with it some announcements regarding the franchise’s upcoming milestone, withCall of Dutyturning 20 years old this October. Rather than just let the huge milestone pass it by,Call of Dutyis making the smart decision to capitalize on the event and reward fans for their long-term commitment to the series, with a total of seven in-game rewards coming to bothCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2andWarzonebetween October 6 to October 16.

All Call of Duty 20th Anniversary Rewards Explained
Over the course of the next 10 days,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2andWarzoneare offering a total of seven in-game rewards all based around the franchise’s 20th anniversary. To unlock all of these rewards, players simply need to log into theirCall of Dutyof choice once for a total of seven days. As long as players log in seven times over the next 10 days, they’ll unlock every 20th anniversary cosmetic reward on offer here, and there are some that die-hardCall of Dutyfans certainly won’t want to miss.
After logging in for the first time, players will prompted to redeem the firstCall of Duty20th anniversary reward, which is the Villains Weapon Blueprint for the Expedite 12 Shotgun. Along with a new attachment configuration, this shotgun blueprint gives the weapon a skin depicting three ofCall of Duty’s most iconic villains, General Shepherd, Makarov, and Menendez all in a Chibi art style. On day two, players will unlock a new animated emblem that cycles through all theBlack Opsseries logos.
Logging in on day three will give players the Sentinel Task Force decal, a design that’s been lifted directly from the protagonist team inCall of Duty: Advanced Warfareand can be applied to any large weapon in bothModern Warfare 2andWarzone. Day four gives players the incredibly nostalgic 2009 Feels loading screen, which replaces the usualMW2andWarzoneloading screens with the front cover art of 2009’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. On day five, players will unlock an exclusive FTAC Recon Weapon Blueprint called Heroes. Much like its Villains counterpart, Heroes depicts iconic protagonists from across theCall of Dutyseries likeModern Warfare’s Ghost, again in a Chibi style.
Day six brings the most basic reward of the bunch, a simple Battle Token that allows players to skip one tier of the Season’s Battle Pass. But by far the most exciting reward of the lot is the last one. On day seven, players will unlock an exclusive Operator skin that changes the player-character into “Old School Price,” the very original Captain Price that debuted back in 2003’sCall of Duty. Fans will definitely want to pick this skin up, especially as it’ll transfer over toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3when that releases next month.
