Reddit user zvdsptcvnjws came across one such person who avidly believes in consuming items before a fight. Zvdsptcvnjws uploaded a video showing their encounter with a player who went by the name Duelist Morphius in the game. Unsurprisingly, the opponent applied a bunch of spells and incantations in order to gain the upper hand and shift the odds in their favor. The original poster waited for their rival to buff themselves before finally approaching and beginning the contest. However, all their plans turned out to be fruitless as the fight ended in quite anti-climactic way.
TheElden Ringfight ended in only a few seconds as zvdsptcvnjws landed three fatal blows to Duelist Morphius, killing the latter in the process. The opponent couldn’t even hit the Reddit user once and was unable to defend themselves from three continuous strikes. The Reddit community positively received the post as it got more than five thousand upvotes with nearly two hundred comments, most mocking Duelist Morphius for applying buffs that don’t stack above one another. One keen-eyed user pointed out that the opponent had initially applied “Flame Grant me Strength,” “Barrier of Gold,” and “Dragonbolt” incantations that got overwritten, rendering them useless.

The buffs used by the player were without a doubt great ones, but the order in which they were applied ruined their chances of winning.
