AnElden Ringfan has created an incredible painting of Stormveil Castle, one of the game’s many “legacy” dungeons, and the resemblance is uncanny.Elden Ringwas released in February this year, with the game receiving both fan and critical acclaim, particularly in regard to the game’s huge and often breathtaking open world. That world is full of monsters, secrets, loot, magic, and of course, dungeons. WithElden Ringbeing one of the best-selling games of the year, there is a lot of fan art out there, but this one is sure to make a lot of fans wish it was hanging on the walls in their own homes.
Stormveil Castle is the first major dungeon that most players will come across inElden Ring.While it is not technically required to complete the game, most players that are playing for the first time will follow the magic light trail of the Graces right up to the entrance of the castle within a few hours of playtime. Other players may spend a while exploring the Lands Between before even attempting the dungeon, as there are tons of secrets to discover in the game. In a post to Reddit by user MapleFoxArt, the impressive painting of Stormveil Castle is on display, but Stormveil Castle isn’t the only thing this painting depicts. This painting was drawn with acrylic paint, and MapleFoxArt herself showed several photos of her creative process in her initial Reddit post as well. The painting also accurately portrays some of the areas beyond Stormveil Castle, such as theglowing Erdtree inElden Ring.
MapleFoxArt, whose real name is currently unknown, also used the Reddit post to show her process for painting the stunning art. It appears she actually drew out the majority of the painting first, and even painted the background, before turning her attention to the focal point: the large and complex design ofStormveil Castle fromElden Ring. Judging by these images, it appears she was quite meticulous in her choice of design and colors to best emulate the in-game castle. The comments section on the post is even full of users asking if she will sell the painting.
This work of fine art is a testament to how much of an impactElden Ringhad on fans, even months later. OneElden Ringplayer painted the Elden Beastinto real life as well. It seems like the art being created based onElden Ringis never-ending.
