Sister Ivry’s Promise to Jinn and Kleene
Kleene and Jinn were the first to board the ship despite recent associations with Drakken Joe. Jinn’s last-minute act of betrayal towards Drakken Joe may have somewhat redeemed him in the crew’s eyes, though not all members bear the same sentiments. Jinn’s reason for betrayal was hispromise with Sister Ivryto heal Kleene, an offer that he couldn’t resist for the sake of his sister’s ailment.
Kleene’s illness is rather unique, as she shows no signs of physical deterioration. Instead, she was robbed of her emotions entirely. She is forced to communicate with an expressionless face and a monotonous tone, with only a smidgen of emotion conveyed through her hairpin gadget. Since her illness is unlike conventional ailments, finding a treatment is an ardent task, even for the likes of Sister Ivry. According to Sister, finding a cure for Kleene could take an indefinite period of time, meaningthe brother-sister duois likely to stay with the crew for a considerably longer time.

Kleene has already taken a liking to Homura and Rebecca, easing out of her shy shell in front of these two characters. Jinn, on the other hand, is still skeptical of the Edens Zero crew, though the feeling is certainly mutual. Since Weisz’s mother was a victim ofDrakken Joe’s thirst for immortality, treating them the same as any other crew member isn’t likely to happen any time soon. However, the series has laid out several hints at redemption for Kleene and Jinn, making them potential new members of Edens Zero.
Laguna’s Contract With Witch
Another one of Drakken Joe’s henchmen, Laguna Husert is former member of the Element 4 and the newest ally for the Edens Zero crew. After his Water Etherallowed Shiki to pass through Red Cave’s roaring flames, Laguna stayed aboard the Edens Zero in lieu of his contract with Witch. Since Laguna is now a wanted criminal in the Sakura Cosmos due his ties with Drakken Joe, he was forced to hide in Planet Bluegarden as an actor.
His terms for agreeing to help Shiki pertain to this very imminent threat, as he made a deal with Witch to escape the Sakura Cosmos by joining the Edens Zero crew temporarily. Based on the arrangement, Laguna will find a newplanet in the Aoi Cosmosto lie low and start a new life. Since his plans aren’t concrete, a possibility of him joining the crew permanently still exists.

Redemption for Laguna wouldn’t be much of an issue either, since the Element 4 barely played a role in the events of World 30. They never went out of their way to harm innocent civilians either, since they were trying to avoid Drakken Joe’s wrath themselves. Laguna still believes that he has done nothing wrong, since Drakken Joe never killed anyone without good reason. His logic is plausible to some extent, and he has certainly been useful for the crew, meaning Laguna is likely to be redeemed.
A Spy Aboard the Skull Fairy
The Edens Zero isn’t the only spaceship with unwelcome guests as Elsie’s Skull Fairy has its own fair share of shifty crewmates. With theInterstellar Union Army’s Justiceright on Skull Fairy’s trail, Elsie finally confronts Jesse, a spy working for the Cosmic Government. Elsie had been aware of Jesse’s two-timing antics for well over a month, though she chose not to expose him in a bid to sway him.
Elsie gives Jesse the opportunity to explain himself, yet he stays quiet with a perplexed expression. Her forgiving nature becomes quite apparent from this interaction, as she was willing to forgive a sleeper agent and even take him in as a crewmate. Jesse’s reluctance to comply leads to him being expelled from the ship, though his allegiances could have been swayed by Elsie’s kind gesture. While nothing is concrete yet, Jesse could likely become a double-agent for the Skull Fairy. Still, these are simply speculations and his true allegiances are yet to be revealed.
